Food was great
Service was a little slow, waitress was apologetic and gave us a discount off the bill

I love the location of this pub. But I have to say this is the second time they have failed with the service. The time before this I came for lunch and was given a sandwich with hardly any filling but I have it the benefit of the doubt and took some friends who came visit us from London. But again I was VERY dossapinted, I ordered my son chicken and chips and they gave him burnt batter with hardly any chicken. It was terrible & I had to speak to a member of staff who did apologise but surely they should know & could see this before serving. We had asked for sauces which we had to wait over 20mins for and remind the staff again. The pub wasn’t busy and it does make me wonder how they manage when it is. I’m very disappointed I would not reccomend or done there again.

Service was adequate as was the food but the table and seating was rather grubby and worn. Wouldn’t go again

The restaurant is very popular but you don’t feel cramped in because of the layout. It’s a lovely atmosphere. The choice of food is excellent, catering for everyone and the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble.

Been before and it has been fine BUT not so good this time. I had reserved a table, wanted to sit outside on a sunny day as did most other lunchers. The waitress told me there was no table service outside as only two of them on duty and to order at the bar. So left my friend, queued to order a drink for what seemed like ages as bar man made cocktails, returned with Pelegrino to my guest, back to stand in line to order food long wait, food was delivered and back to stand in line for coffee waited again whilst he made two coffees (okay) and then handed sticky tray to carry them out, not a happy chatty meal, I wasn't given the cheaper lunch menu only the a la carte, so we had the mussels, okay but too much cream and no spoon in bucket to finish it with or finger bowl. We could have gone to a self service cafe in a supermarket for the service we received but wouldn't have spent nearly £40! and no tabs outside so pay as you go, sorry not good enough.

    Fabulous evening!

Seated straight away, a few bottles of wine, a few cocktails each and a 3 course dinner... approx £55 per head!

Service was perfect, a great mix of professionalism with a nice casual rapport!

One of our guests was vegan and the choice was fantastic and presentation spot on.

Even called us a taxi at the end of the evening. Perfect, thanks for having us ;)

Visited the manor at Whittington for a Sunday roast with a family member. Both had roast beef which tasted amazing. The service was excellent and it had a great atmosphere. Will definitely be revisiting.

Pub lovely, service extremely slow, ordered drinks at table, went to the bar to collect them, told they would be brought over and still waited. Waited 40mins for pizza’s. New lady mgr started and was not right for the job.
