I absolutely love this place. The decor and atmosphere is classy, relaxed and family friendly. It’s a spacious pub and the staff are friendly. There’s a good selection of drinks and the food is good too. I enjoyed the pizza I had and I absolutely loved the chocolate brownie I had for dessert.

Varied menu and a little different from the usual boring stuff. Food was excellent.

Beautiful listed building renovated in a modern style but in keeping with the age and character of this historic place. Great outdoor area with fire pit and fabulous food/service. Perfect all year round from cosy fireside at Christmas to summers evenings.

Booked a table for 5 to celebrate my daughters birthday
Plenty of choice on menu for both starters and main course & all that was ordered came within a reasonable time and met with expectations
Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing & no push to release the table once meal was completed

Lovely place, nice warm fire and very friendly and helpful staff. I would not however recommend the food from my experience. I simply ordered a bowl of soup at £5.75 which I feel is very pricey. I did order it though and it was so very salty I could not really taste anything else. I eat little to no salt in my diet for health reasons and therefore it could be argued that this was my taste... which is why I did not complain but did leave it... It was leek and potato soup. I asked for gluten free bread and it was like cardboard.. I do eat gluten free bread in lots of places and this was not at all good. My friends shared a pizza and salad which was very reasonable at two for one and did look very nice and they really enjoyed it.

Food generally good, tho one chicken roast was undercooked. Thought portion sizes were too large, quite a lot of waste.
