I had been looking to this meal as the restaurant was recommended . We arrived ( a party of three), in good time for our booking at 8.30 and ordered drinks and a main course each . The drinks duly arrived but then we were told that the main course which 2 of the party had ordered wasnt available so they chose something else. At 10pm I asked if we could just cancel our order as it hadnt arrived. The meals arrived within minutes and were very tasty . The chef then appeared and was extremely apologetic about the delay to us and a few other tables .We appreciated the fact he came to talk to us. We wern't charged for our meal . However I am not sure we would go back as one of our party was very ill all night . Perhaps the food was prepared in too much haste ?

I found Game Bird at the Stafford very noisy (it has public access). Food average and service fast but not refined. But, again, I am comparing everything with Le Gavroche.

Have dined here before and have to say it was good as I expected. The food is excellent and my friend was amazed at the Fish Pie, I was sorry that I opted for the Pork Rib Eye but that was extremely good. The service was so good, the staff are so attentive.

Unfortunately, they had no record of my booking through Bookatable, even though I had a clear booking reference and date - which you confirmed via email beforehand. This caused some probelsm but luckily the staff were very nice and found us a table elsewhere, which was better than nothing.

This is a restaurant in a very upmarket hotel and it shows in the ambience of the dining room and the excellent quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. The restaurant is plush and luxurious and, more importantly,,quiet so you can carry out conversations without having to shout over the noise which is present in a lot of restaurants these days. There were 5 in my party and everyone enjoyed the evening in the lovely relaxing surroundings. The staff were attentive without being intrusive but were on hand if required. My party had the set menu but that did not detract from the quality of the food we were served which was excellent. This is a place for a great dining experience and I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
