Booking was very easy. Good choice of food, we enjoyed the squid and chorizo starter and the cocktails. We went on a Friday evening and the offers were good.

    Positives
    - The staff were excellent, Chris (from Liverpool?) in particular was very friendly and helpful, especially when offering extra chips with my meal. It certainly needed it as the chicken and the side relish bit really isn't reasonable for £13.
    - The food was good and the price was just about reasonable (I ordered the chicken tikka and my girlfriend ordered a vegetarian dish with quinoa)

    Negative
    - Because the ceiling is high the amount of people eating made the restaurant very loud. You could limit the noise by introducing 'dampeners' a type of material that absorbs some of there sound and stops the sound of peoples voices reflecting and being amplified by the high ceiling and material texture. It would be good if you can sort this out, because the noise was so loud my girlfriend and myself could barely hear ourselves talk and we had to shout at the staff. So, we won't come again until this is sorted out. It really was an issue for us. Or go there when its quieter and less people? Saturday night is prime time.
    - I think the restaurant has more of a party and business vibe and probably isn't best for romantic meals as explained above. But for parties, it would be great.

A disappointing experience overall. A very small serving of mussels as a main dish, unnecessary side order of vegetables with the fish, and a completely undercooked rice pudding. At these prices we would expect better quality. Music in the restaurant was also too loud for dining.

Brilliant place ... brilliant service .
One point ?? .... never been at lunch time on a Saturday before .... main sitting area is very noisy and echoey - like the room could do with with more soft furnishing to absorb some of the ambient noise and make it more atmospheric .

My partner ordered the steak and it came with peppercorn sauce which was too runny and also very boozy flavour to it. Which in a way ruined the steak. I had the king prawn linguine and it was lovely! Maybe a tad more sauce could have been added.
We had the welcome cocktail from the valentine’s menu and I had both!
Would love to come back again but would also love for it to be perfect if paying hat much for a steak

I was excited to visit as I've seen lots on Instagram about the place. The decor is lovely and the menu looked good. However, we left disappointed.

We went for a meal before going to an event so were booked in for an early dinner on a Sunday night. It was not the best time to go. There was the tail-end of a big 18th birthday party in the restaurant area so we were seated in a bit of a foyer space, but it just felt like we were in a hallway with party guests and staff constantly walking past us to get the the bar. The party also let young children loose in that area who were running about, which disturbed our table.

The food took a little while to arrive but it wasn't excessively late, however we did feel quite neglected by the staff while we waited. We weren't asked if we would like more drinks, and when we did ask for a jug of table water it didn't come and we had to chase it. There were a lot of staff on shift, but many didn't seem to be doing much. I also found the staff weren't able to answer some basic question such as if they had got any Sunday roasts left and if they had decaf coffee available.

The cost was on the more expensive side, and though the food was good, the service let it down and I felt like the overall experience could have been a lot better.
