Great place for a celebratory dinner (birthday) good attention paid to my wife's dietary requirements

Dined at 7-30pm on a Thursday in December. Not easy to find in the dark down an unlit lane, particularly as we had to drive past the Road Closed sign as the bridge to the restaurant was under repair. The adventure was worthwhile. The restaurant was quiet but the welcome was warm and the service was excellent. Food was good and the recommended Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. Pricing is towards the higher end but the bill was reasonable for the quality and dining experience.

The lunch was wonderful, the setting perfect & we had such beautiful weather we were able to sit outside. Staff a little over attentive, which could be felt as being a little rushed. The food was wonderful, although the wine bumped the price up quite substantially. Overall a good experience.

We dined at 7pm, mid summer. Sat at the river's edge for apperitifs but cold wind although a sunny evening, so we were glad to go into the conservatory for dinner looking out over a similar view. Presentation was spectacular, food quality superb. Plenty of choice even for those watching their purses. My Australian visitor was well-impressed.

We dined early evening, and although quiet at first the restaurant soon filled up. The service was excellent even when the restaurant was full and we were never left wondering when our plates would be removed or our glasses re-filled. An excellent experience.
