Probably one of the best meals i have hade in sometime, the ribs are to die for! just make sure you are hungry as it is really good value for money and i had to bring a doggy bag home with me. The staff are great, helpful and really friendly and the river view is beautiful! even in the winter

We live at Lazy Otter Meadows, next door to the restaurant so are regular visitors We usually have an excellent meal and we go there about once a month. However if something goes awry, which occasionally happens, we mention to the very friendly and accommodating staff who promptly rectify the problem to our satisfaction. The owner/chef is very particular and seems to welcome constructive comments so we feel at ease in raising any issues. In particular we would like to mention the Burns Evening menu that they put on. This was excellent and most reasonably priced. Every part of the 4 course meal was exceptional, we loved it. The other reason we love going to the Lazy Otter during the day is the lovely way everyone welcomes our doggy companions, spoiling them so much that they cannot wait to return !It is a very relaxing and friendly place to take the dogs and we find most other people stop and chat to us whilst making a fuss of the dogs ! We have retired and down-sized our home to live in Lazy Otter Meadows so are not on a large budget but find that the regular offers( pie day on Tuesdays) and bar snacks can help the pocket. We would certainly recommend a visit if you haven't been here before and the scenery is extraordinary The Days
