Restaurant description

Nestled in the beautiful Dorset countryside, The Lamb’s Green Inn near Corfe Mullen was previously a charming farmhouse. The dedication to traditional British cuisine remains, as does the pastoral feel and appearance, through the distinctive partially thatched roof, classic red brickwork and oak beams. You can savour the seasonally-prepared food by the cosy log-fire, or outside in the al fresco beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Lambs’ Green Inn menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Lambs’ Green Inn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Lambs’ Green Inn is only 3 minutes’ drive from Corfe Mullen and 4 minutes from Wimborne Minster.

Dishes displayed on a la carte menus are representative of the type of food available at the restaurant.

Lovely menu but sad no fish included on mid-week three course menu which we wanted to make use of. Food second to none though with generous portions. Much improved. My friend had a free Prosecco offer for her birthday but was surprised that this was not allowed on the mid-week special offer. Nothing to this effect in small print. She was NOT happy! Love the new carpark layout. Much improved. It was awful before. When the bill came we found the special deal had not been taken into account with an overcharge of £9. This was soon rectified and the ordering process was blamed. I wonder how many clients have failed to notice the discrepancy and paid the a la carte price instead. Needs to be sorted.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem was that the food was only lukewarm. Even the extra gravy that we asked for was barely warm. Such a shame as otherwise the food was excellent - a wide variety of veg, tasty meat and plenty of each (we all had the Sunday roasts).

Two main courses lukewarm - just adequate. Long wait for food after drinks had been served. OK but not enough to make us want to return. Merlot was thin and almost undrinkable: clearly bought cheap.
