First time visit to the Lamb at Hindon and enjoyed it very much. Service was very good, a nice choice for a Sunday lunch and the meal was excellent.

Part of this beautiful Wiltshire village since the 12th century, The Lamb at Hindon serves great British gastropub fare. With warm red décor, inglenook fireplaces and flagstone floors, this traditional coaching inn’s cosy chandelier-lit nooks are complemented by an outdoor terrace and garden for al fresco dining, with fantastic views of the Wessex countryside.

The Lamb at Hindon menu makes great use of fine British produce, from Dorset mushroom risotto and Lincolnshire black cabbage to its gourmet burger with Wiltshire smoked bacon. Aged Lagan Farm steaks and Dunkeld smoked salmon are among The Lamb Restaurant lunch choices.

End your meal with indulgent dark chocolate tart or homely apple crumble. The Lamb offers a broad choice of blends and single malts, plus an array of brandies, ports and after-dinner liqueurs.

An extensive wine list takes in the best of Europe, South America, Australia and beyond. The Lamb Inn at Hindon is off the B3089, around 11 minutes’ drive from Mere.

Only minutes off A303 so great place to stop off en-route to London. Staff very efficient and friendly. Food lovely, I had 2 starters and a dessert, husband had starter, main and dessert, 1 large glass of wine and a soft drink and bill was only £44.00, a bargain for food of this quality - we shall return.

7pm Meal very disappointing and very overpriced! New manager has offered us a return free meal but we are waiting until the New Year and he has had time to make the necessary improvements before we feel ready to return and accept his offer!

Sunday lunch was very good but the menu is not as interesting as Mon-Sat. However the Lamb provided the perfect venue to entertain my brother and wife who were visiting from Winnipeg. Next time he and I have plans to test the whiskeys. Quintessential country tavern; I'd recommend it to anyone who'd listen.

It was a pleasant evening, relaxing , the meal was delicious, comprehensive selection of food, very pleasant staff , great service. Have wanted to eat here for a long time as we have often passed by, and I was not disappointed.

Dined at lunchtime on a Sunday, we were half an hour early but no problem table was ready - very friendly staff - nice to have a roast dinner that has not come out of a freezer or microwave - huge homemade yorkshires and fresh roast pots, meat flavoursome and handcarved and well worth a short detour from A30/303 of about 3 miles Westbound. Will use again.

We ate at the Restaurant in the evening. Traditional food with a Scottish twist. Beautifully cooked and a professional, friendly service. Good value for money. Tartan decor, open fires. Situated in a small English village.

Excellent cuisine, attractively presented and competently served. The service was attentive even though the venue was very busy.
