For 3 people We had selection of x3 meat dishes and selection of salads. All delicious but just not enough. We literally got 1 small meatball, x1 small chicken skewer each. We had to order more as still hungry. I really think they should give enough for at least x2 of everything for each person

Love everything about dining at The Kitchen Storyhouse from the shared tables, the lovely fresh tasty food, that's not 'run of the mill' to the friendly helpfull staff.

The Storyhouse is a great venue - theatre, cinema and library. It is let down only by the restaurant.

Whilst a pleasant space with good service and great for a drink, the menu is dire!

The style is nouvelle cuisine (pretentious and small), the choices are very limited and expensive.

Best advice - if you're going to see a play or film then eat elsewhere.

The food was delicious - we especially liked the dips and the brownie for the pudding (although the brownie could have done with some ice cream served with it!) The restaurant wasn't too busy or too quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although they seemed to forget our order and people who came after us and ordered after us received their food first.

10 of us watched our grandaughter in the stagecoach choir singing in the 5pm Joseph performance and then had a post show dinner.
We all enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly.
The sea bass was beautifully cooked.

We booked the pre show dinner for little shop of horrors on the night of the story house' second birthday, tables were well presented with reserved signs up, we were welcomed to our table then given a free glass of fizz, the good was delivered quickly and efficiently, it was delicious and different, which is a huge plus point as I think a lot of menus in and around Chester have become quite 'samey'
I would definitely eat here again and recommend to others

The vegetarian food was so tasty, and they pushed the boundaries of the usual veggie cuisine. Pickled cauliflower was a definite first for me! They did a lentil and brown rice meal with caramelised onion- heavenly!

I’d definitely recommend, and definitely go back. However £8 for 3 shell on prawns was quite disappointing. £8 is okay for three of the most juicy succulent king prawns, but not for spending 10 mins de-shelling and messy fingers and then very little actual meaty tasty goodness!

Fantastic atmosphere..the place was buzzing..But felt there could have been more choice on the pre theatre menu and it was quite expensive for what it was
