Dating back as a 17th-century inn, The King’s Head – Warwick upholds its heritage of homeliness, through its cosy Innkeeper’s Lodge and serving trusty British pub food. Boasting a warm log-fire, pretty outdoor seating for al fresco dining, and traditional red brickwork, The King’s Head is a rustic haven. However, some of the furnishings are more modern, tastefully diversifying the atmosphere, such as the colourful curtains and sleek chairs.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The King’s Head menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The King’s Head ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
In the pretty village of Wellesbourne, The King’s Head is just 15 minutes’ drive from Warwick.

Booked a table for 4people for Sunday the 24th Sept at 6.00pm,on arrival bar was full of waiting customers as only one member of staff serving,i finaly managed to get our drinks and confirm my table booking,at 6.15 i managed to find the only waitress who then cleaned and set our table we was then shown to the table and given the menu only to be told that there was no roast meals available,as these made up a lot of the menu this gave us little choice ,eventualy the waitress came back for our order, the food was cooked nice so no complaint about what we had,i felt so sorry for our poor waitress as she was run off her feet trying to look after everyone athough having complaints from other diners she was very polite and a credit to the Kings Head.It seems as there may have been a staff shortage on that day. Doubt if i would book again as apart from the excellent service from our waitress the rest was very poor with very little choice on menu available.

The worst food in a long time! Four prawn starters sent back as prawns were off. Three fish and chips ordered and sent back as batter was very overdone. Not a good experience!

The restaurant just could not cope with the number of customers. We arrived before 6pm and left near 8pm. People on near tables were returning dishes or complaining to management, one couple after 15 minutes wait with no attention from staff left and we heard people being told there was a 45 minute delay in food being served. The meal was good and the waitress excellent but the place needs more staff both out front and in the kitchen. Pity because it could have been a good experience otherwise.
