The Kings Arms & Royal Hotel is Godalming’s premier coaching inn serving the “Via Regia” (The Kings Road) due to it being the halfway point between The Kings Palace and The Royal Navy at Portsmouth. While the present building dates from 1638, there has been a hostelry on this site since the 14th century. Having played host to many Royals and foreign leaders, they are proud of their tradition of providing good food, drink and lodgings. The restaurant and bar area menus emphasise the produce of Surrey and local suppliers.
The Kings Arms menu offers a wide selection of British classics to cater to all tastes and includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes. The daily specials are not to be missed. Indulge in dishes like grilled salmon with a chive hollandaise sauce, hand beer battered fish and chips or pie and mash with seasonal vegetables and onion gravy. There are also hearty steak and burger options.
The tempting desserts selection offers sticky toffee pudding with warm toffee sauce or apple and cinnamon bake. Traditional afternoon tea or a Prosecco afternoon tea is also available at The Kings Arms.
Historic and welcoming, The Kings Arms & Royal Hotel in Godalming is an 8-minute walk from Godalming Rail Station and easily accessible from the A3.
