What better way to enjoy a Sunday than in a cosy country pub with a great selection of British roasts starting from £12.50 – served all day and evening on Sundays using the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Standing proudly by the eye-catching 18th-century Chertsey Bridge over the River Thames, The Kingfisher boasts some of the best views in the area, which can be enjoyed from the al fresco garden. Serving an accomplished menu of British favourites, The Kingfisher also has a welcoming atmosphere, through the cosy hearth-fire, low ceilings, rustic oak beams and warm colour scheme.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Kingfisher menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Kingfisher ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Despite its fantastic setting on the Thames, The Kingfisher is just a 5-minute drive from Chertsey.

We had lunch at the Kingfisher on Sunday, it was my first visit and from the time we enetered the restUrant and were greeted by a waiter and shownto our table the service was excellent. Attentive but we were given time to peruse the menu, the food was excellent, all plates arrived together, food was hot and looked appitising. We all commented on the quality and taste. We were all impressed and my friends who live locally all said they would return. Thank you

We were a party of 4, celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes before our drinks order was taken, most of the food was not available. One order was wrong so it had to be sent back and another 10 minutes before the correct meal came out. We were told it was a busy night but not our problem really we booked a take at 8 and didn't eat until 9:45 with a very limited menu.

A most enjoyable lunch, food excellent and service with it. Friends who came up from Dorset were most impressed. Thursday probably a quieter day during the week and we were not rushed and plenty of time for chatting. Table was in perfect location. Menu choice and value for money excellent.

Excellent meal, service efficient and friendly, cost very reasonable would definitely go again. The area we sat in was a little noisy due to 2 parties of 8 but it was a very busy day due to beautiful weather.

As usual, friendly greeting, excellent speedy service but plenty of time to talk. Very varied menu, suitable for all tastes and very flexible. ie, starters or sharing dishes allowed as main course.

Very busy on arriving, car park quite full, more people outside than in to begin with. was a lovely sunny day. Good food but they'd run out of what I wanted. Staff attentive but very busy, best to book and best to pick your time.
