New decor and setting is a great improvement over the previous hotel restaurant. Menu offerings were not too many making the choice of food nice and easy. Excellent service from all Kingcliff Hotel staff we encountered.

Disappointing Afternoon tea. Staf were very good but food wasn't to expected standard. Although a miscommunication was quickly rectified there was no finesse the small collection of cakes were extremely disappointing and cheap. The fingers sandwiches were not very exciting and the scones were dry. Our experience came with gin which was nice but for £19.95 I think it was very over priced. The picture to advertise had mini trifles and impressive cakes, we did expect a cake stand each for the price. Unfortunately would not recommend and will not go back.

Basic Menu, not much choice , restaurant was Clean , Considering there was a Wedding reception there at the time of our visit we were attended to with no waiting , we had a disabled person with us and we had plenty of space at the table for the wheel chair . If the Menu was more interesting , We would definitely return.

We had a long wait for the food, but it was worth it. It was a lovely, lovely meal.

Seemed to be set Sunday menu, nothing special for Fathers Day which was a bit disappointing. food presented well and tasted fresh. Service was good also, prompt even though there was a wedding reception going on also.

A lovely afternoon tea in a beautiful hotel right on the seafront. The sandwiches and scones were delicious, we were offered more if we required them. The service was great and the tables and décor beautiful.

Our arrival was an hour early which was a mistake on our behalf, the waitress apologised as the table was not dressed, we were told the table would usually have a table cloth and rose petals, but we were not given the option to have this rectified (I think it would have been nice to be asked). We had 3 different waitresses throughout our afternoon tea who were all polite, though we were left unattended most of the time. The food was ok, the sandwiches were nice as were the scones but they were not served with all of there traditional accompaniments, only cream, no butter and jam, we had to ask for that separately when a waitress came back in, to be fair we were asked if we would like a glass of prosecco for the inconvenience but we declined as we were driving. Unfortunately the cakes were not enjoyable at all, they were very soggy at the bottom so we did not eat them. Once we finished we sat and waited again for a waitress so I could pay but we had no luck. There was a door open in the room leading straight outside which people could take advantage of but I went to the front reception and payed for the tea, at first I was only charged for 1 but said there was 2 of us so again, this could have been taken advantage of. I did not mention this at the time as it would have been inappropriate as it was a special day out for my mum and I.

Would have liked a selection of teas.
Would have liked more brown bread sandwiches.
Selection of cakes could be improved.
Also cakes served up were cold and seemed like they had come straight from the freezer. They could have been warmedi up.

Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant and made us welcome.
