Sourcing their meat from farmers & butchers they know focus on quality such as The Ginger Pig they’re open from 11-midnight Mon-Sat & for traditional British roast lunch on Sundays. Their extensive wine list of over 100 wines has more than 30 choices by the glass & their cocktail list features in-house aged ingredients.
Although their main focus is meat, with steaks dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days & cooked in their Josper grill, there are always 2 vegetarian/vegan dishes on their menu & as all dishes are prepared in-house they can adapt many of their dishes to meet requests by diners with food intolerances & allergies. Their gluten free menu is accredited by Coeliac UK. In addition to fantastic steaks some of the house specialities include Pork Rib Eye, Truffled Mac n Cheese & Anna's Triple Chocolate Brownie.

I was bitterly disappointed in this, my third visit to The Jones Family Project. On my previous visits in March and April, I had some of the best steak I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. I told anyone would listen about the wonderful meals I had enjoyed. I was excited about making TJFP a regular haunt. Imagine my dismay then to have the poor experience which my wife and I received on Saturday night. To follow some nibbles (bread and olives, both fine), I ordered the rib-eye (again), my wife the sirloin. Instead of the delicious and flavoursome cuts enjoyed previously, these were...poor, flabby, and fatty. Instead of a wonderfully charcoal-seared crust, these were...grey. To be fair, they were cooked medium rare, and rare, as ordered, but I all other respects they were very average steaks, cooked barely adequately, with poor texture and little flavour. The triple-cooked chips were soft and without crunch, the mash was overworked and gloopy, the previously sensational mac and cheese with truffle had the gluey consistency of a dish left a long time in a warmer. The spinach was fine. We didn’t bother with dessert, we wanted to leave by then. The service was friendly, but tectonically slow, with one or two staff who seemed to know their stuff, but a majority who seemed very inexperienced. Overall, there was nothing quite bad enough to be sent back to the kitchen. The standard was ‘disappointing pub food’ and that’s probably the best I can say about it. When I talked about our dissatisfaction with our waitress, her suggestion was that it might be better next time. It is always sad to see a good restaurant go downhill, but it happens all too often, once they have made a name for themselves. Perhaps this was just a bad day, but the offhand attitude of the staff to two unhappy diners gives me little confidence. Personally, I am not willing to spend another £100 (exclusive of drinks and service), to find out. Gutted really, such a shame.

Wow! We booked a last minute table tom he day before and we wasn't disappointed at all. The staff were so friendly and the food was out of this world. For a fraction of the price I'd rather come here then dine out at gauchos. We're already arranging when we can go back

We went for a Sunday roast which was nice and a good value for money. I would prefer to have my vegetables baked not steamed but there were still ok and not overcooked. Service was very good.
