Restaurant description

Tucked away in beautifully restored historic Eccleston Yards, between Ebury Street & Victoria Station is the independently owned modern steak restaurant & bar The Jones Family Kitchen.

Known for its collaboration with England’s premier farmer and butcher, The Ginger Pig, the menu centres around steak from grass fed Longhorn cattle and succulent Tamworth pork. Fish arrives daily from day boats in Cornwall and the South Coast.

Given that The Jones Family are also listed in Worlds Best bars, it’s no surprise that the cocktail list is inventive and wide ranging. Coupled with a lovingly curated wine list featuring over 30 wines by the glass, it’s a perfect oasis in the middle of bustling London.

Located around the corner from Victoria Station, The Jones Family Kitchen in London is also only a 10-minute walk from the affluent Sloane Square area.

Very poor. Promising atmosphere and decent cocktails. But the bavette steaks were badly presented and tough. The English greens were limp and sparse. my choice (venison) wasn't available - but, incredibly, I wasn't advised of this until the other mains arrived. My replacement (monkfish) was also poorly presented and the centre was uncooked. The truffle fries were Lukewarm and had to be sent back. Avoid.

Overall it wasn't bad. However cocktails for the price were a bit light. It was half a glass. When we spoke to them about it they stated that those were their measures. My main was really nice however I would question one of our desserts - the coconut and lime tart. It didn't really taste of coconut or lime. The base was nice though. My friend ordered a gnocchi for her main and she literally received a plate of mushrooms in sauce with 5 pieces of gnocchi. They shouldn't advertise the dish as gnocchi more mushrooms with gnocchi. Staff were nice and friendly though.

Really nice space in the new Eccleston Yards. The special price for the two or three course lunch differs on bookatable and what the restaurant try’s to charge. I had to push to get the offer I booked online. For the second course we had the steak Bavette. It was rather tough which was very disappointing. Soup was nice.

Just the lunch menu but everything was delicious! And the croquettes are so cheesy they’re dangerous and I think I could eat many more than I should!
