What a lovely place to spend an evening, relaxed and comfortable, clean and lovely decor, great food, staff very helpful, lovely plate of petite fours for a birthday surprise supplies by the chef and the food was just gorgeous!!
I had to cancel and re-book a few times and it couldn’t have been easier - my only comment would be the music system wasn’t great and the type of music didn’t seem to fit the atmosphere somehow... didn’t detract from a lovely evening but something a bit more in the background and instrumental might have been better than 80’s classics?? That could just be personal taste - I would definitely recommend this place as a lovely night out and will most definitely be back - Thankyou!

This was the first time we didn't enjoy our main course! We had chicken pie, as last time we had it, it was amazing. This time, it was like a chicken soup inside soggy puff pastry. I didn't eat much of mine but the waitress didn't question it!" However everything else was good.

A warm welcome greeted our arrival. We were shown to comfortable seats grouped for separation. Whilst sitting we made our meal choices having been served with our drinks. We were disappointed with the soft drink options especially as there are local companies who can provide quality choices. Once seated at our table in a 4 table alcove (potentially due to a request for a quiet table) we were served with a delicious complimentary soup appetiser to enjoy with the excellent bread. There was a delay in receiving our main courses but luckily there were birthday presents to open. The food when it arrived was all delicious. We enjoyed lamb, chicken and fish dishes. The desert choices were not as pleasing as the mains but we did indulge. They were delicious although my cheesecake was surprisingly small for the price. Due to our meal choices we benefited from the Devon discount which was a welcome bonus. From start to finish we had excellent service and felt like valued guests. We hope to return.
