Service was lacking enthusiasm and hospitality. Slow and unwilling to interact with the guest. Food was not bad but nothing to go crazy for. Best feature: the fries.

Overall it was great but it did seem to be a little disorganised at times and service was very slow compared to usual. Food was good though and so was our main server. It was a bit cold as we were sitting next to the door so next time I will ask for a different table!

The staff were brilliant from start to finish. The manager was superb and our server Louise was excellent.

Our table in a quiet area was available as booked. We were shown to out table by someone who said he would be back with menus - he didn't return ! After say 20 minutes we managed to catch a waitress and asked for menus, she returned after a long delay and took our food and drinks orders. Our main courses were late in arriving, the "hand cut chips" looked like what was left over - not freshly made, the chicken burger dressing was burnt. But as we had waited for too long we didn't wish to return our meals. We had to attract a waitress to take the plates away and asked for the sweet menu. Half an hour later I had to chase her for the menu she apologised and brought the menu, she took 15 or 20 minutes to return for our order at which point we asked for the bill and left. We had spent our waiting time drinking a bottle of wine between two and chatting.
It was Saturday evening and busy but the food was disappointing and the service was extremely poor.

Food was pretty average to be honest which was a great pity
Because we have loved the Huxley for breakfast previously
Eggs royale not very warm & French toast very greasy/oily
Had some issues with coffee order also !! Served some & then took it away
Young lady serving us was good & tried hard to save it
Hope they get it sorted, hate writing like this about a place we like
Contact me if you want to I would be happy to discuss with someone in management at the Huxley
