This was my first visit to the Huxley. They completely messed up my order- I asked for no mayonnaise, explaining I was allergic. My food (a fish finger sandwich) came covered in mayonnaise. I sent it back. It took around 10 minutes for my order to be "re-made". The chips had clearly been left under a hot plate during this time - they were shrivelled and not particularly warm. When my lunch arrived for the second time (whithout an apology), coleslaw had been smeared in the plate, contaminating around a third of the chips. I ate very little then left.

Excellent friendly prompt service. good food. We love the French toast bacon and maple syrup especially as we swap streaky for back bacon. would have liked vanilla in latte but was nice latte

Service & food were both good. My husband had the full Scottish breakfast & I had eggs benedict. My only criticism is that we both asked for one avocado with our breakfasts. When the bill came, we had been charged £4.50 each for the avocado which we felt was a bit steep, especially considering it was £8 for my main & only £2.50 to add smoked salmon to your meal. As a result, I didn't leave a tip, which is very unusual for me but I felt that was a bitbif a rip off. Other than that it was great.

Excellent. We had breakfast over the road at Ryan's the day before but The Huxley was better. The service was lovely, the food great and it just felt more special at The Huxley.

Nice ambience, service quite good but food somewhat disappointing. Had Super Bowl -chicken? and chorizo. Tasty, but chicken practically nonexistent. Bread had curious texture, none too pleasant, so left most of it. Interesting restaurant, but larger portions please.

Really great service, nice setting. Food was good although personally found the ranch chicken nachos extremely salty.
