Whilst i didnt like the way the tables are squeezed in which in the grander scheme of things is minor....i certainly cant fault the food which was excellent. The main of roast sirloin beef as the Sunday lunch option was outstanding as was the dessert. Definitely worth more regular visits to try the rest of the menu.

Always enjoy food here. Excellent food and excellent staff who are most obliging particularly for one of our friends who had certain dietary requirements.

Great place to meet and socialise with friends. We all enjoyed our meal, was not pushed in anyway to order in a hurry, very relaxed. Perfect.

I have been to this restaurant loads and is one of my favourites but this time was not good, all 4 of us had the place that came unfilleted, by the time you took the fish off you only had a tablespoon of fish if you were lucky. It came with new potatoes that were the size literally of my thumb nails and broccoli that you couldn't cut with fish knife but was edible if eating off your fork! Did make a complaint and they did give us £14 off our bill, but very disappointing, will go back but not for a while

We have dined at the Hopping Hare many times in the past. Service and quality of food both excellent as usual, just noticing prices are creeping up a bit. Next time there is a refurb, can the management consider choice of feet for chairs vs type of carpeting, as it is not always easy to move a chair either to sit down or to get up at the end of a meal. However, if the restaurant was altered to include a wood floor solution, this might increase the noise, which would be unwelcome in my opinion. Still a nice place to eat locally.
Fixed Price Menu: 2 courses £18.50 or 3 courses £22.50 per person
