A very pleasant dining environment. Quiet the evening we were there and no sense of rush, which made for a relaxing evening. My sea bass was delicious but there was very little else on the plate. A little more generosity with vegetables would be appreciated. This was felt by our whole party. This is not an inexpensive restaurant.

3 of us dined. 1 of us had the gammon option on the menu and found that to be rather tough. 1 of us had a fish option and the other had a veggie option and they were both fine. However, we felt that all dishes were over-priced in relation to the quality and quantity of food served. Our table was clean but the cleaning spray (used to clean the table between each set of diners) seemed to have almost glued our glasses to the table. The service was friendly and reasonably efficient. The restaurant lacked ambience and was very noisy at times - as there were several families with young children dining at the same time as us.

Have visited Hopping Hare previously and again the standard of the food was was just as excellent. We visited with daughter husband and their lively 1 year old, although we had to dine in the bar/lounge they were very accommodating and the staff were very kind took to the little one immediately so our dining experience was perfect. Choice of menu was the same as the Restaurant.

The staff were brilliant. They were really welcoming and provided excellent service.
My food was really lovely and I enjoyed it. I chose the duck. It was brilliantly cooked and the accompanying veg was lovely. My friend had Gnocchi and I was very surprised at the very small portion size. Had she not waited for me to eat some of mine she would have been finished way ahead of me. I asked her if she wanted to suggest the portion size for over £13 was very small but she said she wouldn't. I certainly would have because I felt four mouthfuls and her meal was finished was not acceptable. (She did not take large mouthfuls either).

The pudding was exceptional. We both chose the lemon and it was delicious.

Dinner out for the wife and I without children.
Great food, great service at great price.
Only thing I would have changed was the table for two's lined in a row of four with very little spacing. Felt like the guy next to us was sitting on our table.
