Restaurant description

Using produce from their award-winning farm shop, 59 at The Hollies is a venture from two brothers, a butcher and a chef, to showcase the freshest seasonal local flavours. Local aged steaks are a real highlight, while the drinks menu features a diverse range of gins.

The 59 at The Hollies menu crafts wholesome, seasonal tastes of the local area and across the UK, using produce from the attached farm shop. Creamy garlic portobello mushrooms are served with The Hollies treacle-cured bacon lardons, while the celebrated steaks are matured and cut in-house. The renowned beef also goes into making the signature burger selection, while other mains include fillet of Scottish salon, wholesome pasta dishes and colourful salads.

As well as a huge gin selection, 59 at The Hollies in Cheshire also served signature cocktails, glasses of sparking, fine wines and craft beers. For pudding, there are local ice creams and cheeses, as well as classics such as warm chocolate fudge brownie.

Also serving children's menus, 59 at The Hollies offers wholesome local flavours for the whole family. Delamere Rail Station is an 8-minute drive away.

Fantastic food but unfortunately service let’s the place down. Had to ask for repeat drinks order. Had to physically go ask for the bill. No one came near us to offer bill or check if we wanted anything else. It wasn’t even that busy so there was no excuse. It’s a real shame because the food was delicious.

We arrived and the gentleman with the beard was very pleasant and showed us to our table and asked if we wanted to order drinks. We ordered our food and after approx. 15 mins the starters arrived, all starters were delicous. We wanted more drinks but found it difficult to get someone's attention , eventually we did. Steaks were very good as was the Mac and cheese. I had the fish and chips and I was very disappointed, it was over cooked and tough. The batter was a bit soggy. As this was a birthday celebration for my sister, I didn't want to cause a fuss. Puddings were good, especially the banana split. Definitely worth a visit, on the whole very good. Just need to be a bit more attentive.

Absolutely excellent. The service is second to none. But the food and drink are brilliant. The pints of lager are served in pint glasses with handles, reminds me of Germany or indeed the "proper glasses" we had in the 1970s! We had the H Burger and the fish and chips, both were fantastic. Would totally recommend this fantastic place to anyone.

Pork burger was raw so sent it back. The rest of my party had almost finished their meal before mine came back. Desert came with custard when asked for ice cream. When I asked for it to be changed the waiter asked if he could bring the ice cream in a dish to put on top of the custard??? Had my meal been cooked and what I asked for i would have had no issue giving a 5* for value as it is it has to be a 1*

Came here for a Christmas get together after a lovely meal for my aunty's 50th. Service was great. Just a shame the Guacamole for the Nachos was sour and off. The 2 little piggy burgers we ordered were tasteless and the pudding we ordered wasn't the one we received. It was meant to be sticky toffee pudding and we received Spotted dick pudding.
