The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and good value. Alcoholic drinks a bit pricey.

Using produce from their award-winning farm shop, 59 at The Hollies is a venture from two brothers, a butcher and a chef, to showcase the freshest seasonal local flavours. Local aged steaks are a real highlight, while the drinks menu features a diverse range of gins.

The 59 at The Hollies menu crafts wholesome, seasonal tastes of the local area and across the UK, using produce from the attached farm shop. Creamy garlic portobello mushrooms are served with The Hollies treacle-cured bacon lardons, while the celebrated steaks are matured and cut in-house. The renowned beef also goes into making the signature burger selection, while other mains include fillet of Scottish salon, wholesome pasta dishes and colourful salads.

As well as a huge gin selection, 59 at The Hollies in Cheshire also served signature cocktails, glasses of sparking, fine wines and craft beers. For pudding, there are local ice creams and cheeses, as well as classics such as warm chocolate fudge brownie.

Also serving children's menus, 59 at The Hollies offers wholesome local flavours for the whole family. Delamere Rail Station is an 8-minute drive away.

Soup didn’t taste homemade and at £6.50 I’d have expected this. Partner loved his steak and my salmon and noodles were tasty but only lukewarm. Couldn’t get anyone’s attention to tell them even though the place wasn’t busy so just ate it. Pudding was delicious.

Poor. Only came for food order. Never offered drinks. Waitress spilt drink on table, never wiped it up and just left it. Had a chicken skewers main. V small portion. Wife's fish was tasteless. Probably frozen. Service was cold and indifferent, def not friendly.

Food (medium ribeye steak for me and pan fried salmon fillet on a bed on noddles for my wife) was absolutely delicious and the wine was superb. Service was also great. Loved everything about the experience.

Lovely, cosy restaurant with a really nice atmosphere. Good choice of dishes on the menu. We booked the burger and pudding deal which is absolutely worth the money. Amazing value and the dishes were gorgeous. The cookie dough is to die for. Really enjoyed our visit and we will be returning.

Burger and Pudding for £10 is a brilliant deal and what a lovely and cosy place to eat. Been three times now. Staff are all so nice. Great evening. Thanks

This is our second visit. As before, the restaurant was booking on a Monday night with many diners taking advantage of the
‘burger and dessert’ for £10 offer. I can’t say anything negative about this place. The food is great, the staff are friendly, there are no parking issues and booking is easy via book a table.

I have eaten at 59 the hollies numerous times but would think twice before deciding to go again due to my more recent experience. My partner (who’s birthday it was) and I were seated at 7 as per our booking and drinks service has always been on the slow side, but after 20 minutes of waiting I decided to go to the bar and ask if I could order a drink, the bar staff advised someone would be straight over and I couldn’t order at the bar. After a further 10 minutes I ended up waving someone down to take the order. We were clearly forgotten about as other people were giving their food orders even though they were seated after us, when we got someone to come over we decided to order mains as well so we wouldn’t get forgotten about again.
Our mains came and the waiter asked if we needed additional sauces and my partner said he was ok and the waiter walked off before I had a chance to ask for the sauce I wanted - and nobody came back so I decided to eat without. After dessert nobody came to see if we wanted additional drinks or to even take the plates off the table so we decided to leave instead. The food itself was lovely, well cooked and presented, just a shame about the service, whether you go on the burger night or any other, you pay more than the average restaurant and for the prices I would expect better service.
