    They can get muddled quite easily - we had our drinks outside and felt that we were then forgotten; ordered 6 drinks and one arrived nearly 10 minutes later which meant toasting a birthday wasn't easy. Food very good but table was dark and by the door so a bit noisy and not easy to hear ourselves think. Top marks for waiter effort but the overall experience was a bit clunky (again).

    Very much appreciated relaxed and personable style of management. Food ok, only crtisism is that aperitif time was cut short and time between starter and main course was far too short.
    Would return.

    I think this is a fair appraisal.
    we booked online but when we arrived we were told we had not, however I had the email in my inbox confirming my booking! So we were seated by the bar, ok not too much of a problem. I ordered the goats cheese but was disappointed, two huge slabs of cheese with no bread, the walnuts were lovely, but I didn't like the pickled onion and beetroot slices. a slice of crusty bread would have made all the difference. My partner had the asparagus and quails eggs, absolutely delicious, and a fair price.
    I then had the Sea Bass, it was not what I expected as I expected a fried or grilled fillet on a bed of something or other. What I got was in a soupy kind of sauce and I had to use a spoon to eat it. the potatoes were ok but far from great. My partners meal was deliciious on the other hand. He had the £12.99 pulled beef in a bun- a real winner and much cheaper than my sea bass.
    Pudding- trio of chocolate which was heaven and a fair price but I was full from the goats cheese then so could not eat it, but it was lovely.
    He had the trio of rhubarb and ginger and loved it.
    I was disappointed with my food and thought it was over priced, and not that amazing at all. If I did come back it would be for the pulled beef burger.

    We had a fantastic evening. The food was delicious and suited us all from my 14 year old daughter to my 75 year old father in law. The staff were really friendly and professional. It felt like a special night out. Thank you.
