Following a grand re-opening, The Grill at The Dorchester offers grill classics in Mayfair, against the backdrop of this iconic hotel’s timeless interiors. Established in 1931, and now led by head chef Guillaume Katola, The Grill at The Dorchester has a long-held reputation for serving London’s finest grill food.

The Grill at The Dorchester’s seasonal menus place grill favourites alongside their signature lobster chowder. An open rotisserie is also on offer, adding to the relaxed ambience of the setting. For dessert, an extensive soufflé menu is the highlight, the first of its kind in London.

Counter top-style seating, and the contemporary details added by interior architect Bruno Moinard, merge with the iconic elegance of The Dorchester to create a vibrant, welcoming environment. With a hand-blown glass chandelier hanging above oak parquet flooring, and surfaces resplendent in marble and zinc, The Grill at The Dorchester is a striking venue. Pivoting wall panels help to create an inviting atmosphere that evolves throughout the day.

Overlooking Hyde Park, The Grill at The Dorchester is a 7-minute walk from Hyde Park Corner Tube Station.

It was a very pleasant experience. Superb hospitality, great tasting food with excellent drinks & beverage. Adequate attention and optimal service from members of staff... 5-star rating of course, though the table was too scantily laid, not well laid with all necessary cockery expected of a 5-star hotel of that repute...
Every other thing EXCELLENT except the table presentation...

We were celebrating my partner's birthday and had a drink at the bar first.
It took a few minutes for the menu to arrive, for some strange reason we were given the wine list first!
The food was delicious, I had the stilton & chicory salad, my partner the veloute.
We both chose the venison which was superb, it cut like butter.
I loved the grapefruit dessert, very unusual & innovative.
My partner had the pistachio soufflé which he said was fantastic.
I was surprised that there was no amuse Bouche.
There was a wait for the coffee ( for which we received an apology ) & it was taken off the bill. However the petit fours arrived after the coffee had been consume !...too late.
Also, having told the staff in advance of my partner's birthday I expected him to get a birthday plate but nothing was forthcoming.
So whilst we loved the food and ambience I felt the service slipped a little, unusual for aplace of this stature.

It is a rather cold, sterile space, no table cloths, room was 1/2 full, no buzz, formal space but without elegance.

This was a memorable experience. The decor , the ambiance , the aroma of the flower displays as you walk in at the entrance, the staff, the food ....oh this could not have gone better for my wife who was celebrating her birthday. All the staff were very friendly, polite , accommodating while remaining professional throughout. The Chef even made a special treat for my wife for her birthday and even came to our table to meet us and say hello. We haven’t stopped singing the praises of The Dorchester and of our dining experience at The Grill. We highly recommend this place and we certainly will make another visit there.

Fabulous experience. We booked lunch at The Grill on a Saturday at 12. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome. The doorman helped us out of the taxi and as we entered the hotel there was a warmth and friendliness. The lobby area is beautifully furnished in a comfortable and restful manner and is quietly busy with people having coffee or drinks. The staff at The Grill were very professional, friendly and welcoming. As soon as we sat down we were offered water, and glasses of champagne, which were part of the offer , were poured. We are four sisters who meet regularly for lunch. We are not rich and we always choose tap water and an inexpensive wine, this didn't cause the slightest problem at the Dorchester. I have eaten in some luxury hotels on special offers where one doesn't feel as comfortable doing this. Staff at the Dorchester treat everyone with the same respect . I was most impressed. The food was very good . After our champagne had been poured a delicious amuse bouche appeared whilst we perused the menu. My party chose different starters, and all can be recommended. Bread was offered throughout the starter and we were asked if we would like more during the main course. The main courses were satisfying and delicious. We topped up with a couple of vegetable side dishes and a side of french fries, all of which we shared. For dessert we paid a supplement of £3 per person and tried the souffles, each guest trying a different flavour. They were all very good, but I recommend the gin and lime souffle which has lovely citrus flavour and is accompanied by a miniature gin and tonic. At the end of the meal we felt we had eaten a good lunch and our appetites had been satisfied. As in all luxury hotels, wine can be very expensive for ordinary pockets. You can see the wine menu online and find some lower cost ones before you arrive to eat. The sommelier treated our choice with respect . We had a lovely time. . Going back there as soon as possible.
