Excellent welcome and love the ambiance at the Dorchester Grill - nice soft lighting under a huge modern, I imagine Murano Glass , Chandelier. Although we were on the fixed menu we were given an "amusée bouche" to compliment our glass of champagne, plenty of special breads before the first course arrived. We chose the pickled cauliflower and smoked salmon mix which turned out to be a warm soupy mousse with croutons and the cauliflower florets on top - yummy! I had Hake with vegetables to follow and my husband the lamb - both delicious - and then we were offered desserts from the main menu. I chose lemon tart and was surprised when what looked like a meringue arrived - but the contents were the tangiest lemon curd with chunks of fresh lemon imaginable - delicious! We were also given a lemon jelly to cleanse our pallet at the end. The wine choices were vast - also their prices - as we expected - but it is possible to buy a carafe for around £50! We loved the experience - welcome back to the Dorchester - more magnificent than ever!

Ordered the champ dinner set which was frankly a steal at £39+. Food was of excellent quality n service impeccable- attentive yet unobtrusive. Each course was cleared efficiently after dish emptied n next course served quickly after. Hubby had lamb for his main which was done perfectly; my fish was a tad salty tho so 4 rather than 5 stars. Special mention must be made of the heavenly choc tart n lemon merengue tart. The former balanced the right level of bitterness with sweetness n latter, amazing crusty not-too-sweet layer of merengue covering yummy lemon cream. Will be back!! And as an aside-left my umbrella behind and host actually called me to retrieve, with umbrella perfectly folded! One of the best service experience I've had so far in my 4 months thus far living in London!

Excellent service by all the staff - particularly a South African waiter who served our table who was very attentive and looked after us and our requirements. The food was most enjoyable absolutely perfect. We will certainly recommend The Grill and will definitely be returning.

It was ok but doesn't come up to one of the other top restaurants that I've dined in. There was no vegetarian option on the menu and one of the bowls had a chip in it. The staff were very nice. Overall I wouldn't go back but I do think it is worth a visit

We took a close friend and his wife for for his 90th birthday lunch to the Dorchester Grill. The service, the atmosphere and the meal could not have been better. The waiters were exceptionally polite and attentive and there were several little extras with the meal. I would thoroughly recommend the Dorchester but a word of warning,I was not drinking because the only way I could get them there was to drive, so and neither did the elderly couple consequently only two small glass's of wine (250m) were purchased and it came to £38 virtually the price of the meal. I also loved the refurbishment of the restaurant.
