Enclosed by the beautiful Essex countryside, The Greyhound - Brentwood showcases a quintessential British pastoral pub through its dark, rich oak beams, hearth and extensive pretty gardens. The outdoor seating can be used to enjoy the accomplished British pub menu and sleek white exterior.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Greyhound menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Greyhound ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Greyhound is just 6 minutes’ driving from Brentwood.

Very disappointing, had to fight to get a table that wasn't being knocked by people passing by even though we were early and there were several empty tables around us. The next customers on that table had the same problem and moved as well. Too little staff. Long wait between sitting down and getting a drink and the same for our food and sweet. The waitress did her best but either they need more staff on the tables or in the kitchen. We won't be going back.

Very organised and table ready on time. Good excellent and value for money exceptional.
Staff could be a little more accommodating but it was Mother's Day and very busy. Overall lovely venue with great food and good service.

Very nice Mothers Day lunch. Portion sizes a little too big and didn't come out exactly as it said on the menu but all round, enjoyable.

Food very good but the service was slow. They needed more waiting staff for a busy Saturday evening. Also we decided to eat from their set menu (3 courses for £20) but when we got the bill we had been charged for individual items which added around £30 to the total. They did give a discount once we queried it but I feel this should have been checked before the bill was presented to us.

Very nice restaurant. Staff were very accommodating in view of the delayed arrival of two of our party of six. Food was excellent and the menu varied, featuring a good selection of fish, shellfish, meat, pizza, etc.. Another fine touch - on one of the coldest nights of the year - two real log fires! Very welcoming.
