Converted from three cute 19th-century cottages into an alehouse, rural life has always been at the heart of The Green Dragon Lymm, prizing its location in the rolling Cheshire countryside and close to the River Bollin. We used to visit the pub all the time before we had children and always liked it. This was our first visit back in several years and we loved the interior and decor and thought it was really comfortable and appealing. The dining area was lovely too. The food was nice (great chips) and we all enjoyed it, although we thought very much on the pricey side. It was great that we could use a 25% off voucher which brought the bill right down to what we thought the meal was worth it.

The food was excellent I like the fact you can choose large or small portions. Myself and my husband had crispy fried chicken it was to die for my mother had duck from the specials she left a totally clean plate. The staff were very obliging we sat right in front of a big roaring open fire it was cosy and very warm.

Food was lovely as always but thought some of the service was lacking. We had three drinks each and by the end of the meal none of the empty glasses had been cleared.
