The food was delicious, and the amount was quite good as well. The dining room is very elegant and comfortable. The service was good, but I was expecting more from a Michelin star restaurant. We had the wine pairing with our food, and they wouldn't wait for us to finish one wine to bring the next dish, so we ended up mixing it all and it felt like they were rushing us. We had to ask for a break before the desert as were eating very fast. We also had to wait more than 10min for the bill which, for a restaurant of this kind, should not happen.

Friendly staff, good service, beautiful dining room - but meal was nearly cold. We were already late eating as we had travel problems so I didn’t make a fuss. It’s not what I expect from this hotel

Overall the meal was very enjoyable although I chose a main course that i was disappointed with. I will know in future to avoid this dish. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and efficient and my wife and I enjoyed our lunch together.

We arrived early and had a pre-dinner cocktail in the bar. The bar had a great atmosphere with a lovely log fire. Our lunch table was booked for 12pm and we received a warm welcome. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional and the restaurant felt grand but relaxed at the same time. We were spoilt for choice with the fixed menu as everything sounded wonderful. I opted for the mushroom risotto to start and the flavours were exquisite. The presentation was lovely and the food was hot. For my main I had the monk fish and again the flavours were incredible and the attention to detail with presentation made it a work of art. I had the lemon and white chocolate for dessert and again absolutely wonderful. We savoured every mouthful of each course and couldn't stop talking about it on our journey home. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and I believe it represented excellent value for money. I'm looking forward to booking again in the not to distant future.

Our 2nd visit for lunch. Food was fabulous and service excellent until the afternoon tea started to be served & the staff lost their focus on looking after us. We were not happy that, although there is a strict “no jeans” policy and we’d made a conscious effort, that there were a number of people in jeans ! If you have a dress code it should be enforced.
