Everything good except one of the set lunch dishes (beef) was no longer available for my 1.00 pm booking.

From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The booking process was easy, the staff were welcoming, the restaurant is comfortable and attractively decorated. The tables are well spaced and the food is really delicious, especially the lobster omelette which both my guest and I chose Add to this really good service and you have near perfection

For the first time in almost 30 of enjoying The Goring I found the service slow with too long a wait between the first and second course. We also had to request the sommelier and were then told “he would come over”. Not normal Goring helpful and kind service.

It was our second visit and lived up to expectations. Food and service were excellent. We started with the eggs drumkilbo, followed by the lobster omelette which was not as we expected but it was delicious! Thoroughly recommend if you like something rich.

The Goring lived up to its reputation and its Michelin star. In my opinion, two stars is more appropriate for this establishment. An intimate, ambient setting with service that stands on a par as one of the finest dining establishments in the world in its genre. (Critic Jane Sallmon NeverAWastedWeekend.com
