Very good but service was slow due to only one waitress being on duty. The Globe need to hire more staff.

The steak was over cooked. We asked for medium but it was dried out and tough. The crab linguini was bland mainly tasting only of garlic. Marinated olives were jarred black and green olives. Seats were uncomfortable.

We had an amazing evening in this restaurant. I can not fault anything about our experience. The only thing i would say is it is fairly laid back ( Which we wanted and enjoyed ) so if you are looking for something formal then this is probably not for you.The food was amazing with my sister commenting it was the best meal she had had in a long time. They made us feel welcome and the service was friendly and efficent. It was my mother's 80 th Birthday and they made a fuss of her ( 80th Balloon Brownie with candle etc just enough not too much ) Wonderful Evening.

Starter wasn't great and main dish was average. Both dishes looked nice but unfortunately didn't have much flavour.

Unfortunately we decided to give the globe a second chance. We were again disappointed. The menu read well but the food was not very impressive. We won't be going back soon. Sorry to have to write this.

Overall the meal was very nice. particularly the duck starter. The service from one waitress was excellent, however the younger one didn't seem to have much idea. She got the starter wrong, didn't open the wine and forgot the water. The main thing I'd change about the restaurant would be the entrance. You are greeted with a view of the kitchen which wasn't great.

This was Easter Sunday. We came for a roast Lunch. I was surprised lamb was not an option. My pork was good my partners beef was mediocre. The service was pleasant but slow and some other customers who arrived & ordered after us were served before us. There was also an unpleasant customer who called the chef out to give home a dressing down on the temperature of the food. Given the praise I saw on the Internet I was disappointed with the overall experience. I hope it was just a bad day for them as it was potentially a good place to eat.
