The restaurant was very pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful. My only criticism was that as a vegetarian the choices were restricted but that is par for the course in most places!

Set in the vibrant capital of the New Forest, the light and bright Glasshouse Brasserie & Bar embraces contemporary brasserie-style cooking, with fresh takes on timeless British classics. Inspired by simplicity, dishes from forest to coast are full of flavour and prepared using quality local ingredients.

The Glasshouse menu features the likes of beef bourgignon with garlic mash, confit duck leg with braised chorizo lentils, and tempura-battered fish & chips with chilli minted peas. For dessert try the chocolate orange fondant, or sticky toffee pudding with caramelised apple and vanilla ice cream.

Housed in a Georgian hotel, The Glasshouse afternoon tea befits its classic surroundings. Savour freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, delicate cakes, finger sandwiches and your choice of specialty tea or coffee. Add a glass or 2 of champagne for extra indulgence.

With black and gold décor, and striking artwork adorning the walls, The Glasshouse Restaurant in Hampshire is an elegant rural hideaway. Ashurst New Forest Train Station is just a 10-minute drive away.

Booking was simple and we were greeted by name on arrival. We dined in a different part of the hotel, not the Glasshouse but the hotel had tried to ring me to let me know. Staff were very efficient and polite. All the food was excellent quality. No complaints at all. I'm sure we'll return at some point.

I went to the Glass house with my husband for Easter Sunday Lunch. We had not been before and found the restaurant on the internet. On arrival the restaurant was empty. We were shown to a table and the food was Lovely, however the place had no feel to it as it remained empty apart from ourselves for our entire meal. I felt sorry for the waitress who kept popping in bit finding no more customers.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Service was with a smile all evening and food was amazing. Great value for money. We were there for Valentine’s Day and the complimentary glass of prosecco was a really nice touch. We will definitely go back!

    Ok. Service a bit haphazard.

Very nice food well presented. Service poor got forgotten about for deserts then asked what we were waiting for.

Very inpressed with the standard of food at dinner. It felt like there should have been one or two more people serving and although courteous, a little training wouldn’t have gone amiss. Wine list could have been a bit more comprehensive.

The staffs are nice and polite but the 'Grill pork chop' I ate was the worst grill meat that I ever had! Too thick and too tough!

Afternoon tea, Fantastic, open sandwiches, mackerel, smoked cheese, chorizo, smoked chicken and lots of gorgeous cakes all made in the hotel. Excellent. Great service, we were spoilt.
