The meal we both had was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, it was so nice not to be rushed in any way.
The portions for the side orders were very generous, we will definitely go back again
We had a late siting for the lunch time so was very quiet

From Marcus Wareing, Gilbert Scott London showcases fine British produce in the illustrious surrounds of the 19th-century St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. The venue houses a spectacular grand dining room as well as an intimate cocktail bar.
Packed with rich British and European dishes, the Gilbert Scott menu begins with starters such as Dorset crab with smoked almond and pink grapefruit, and pigeon with prune and pistachio terrine. Follow this with Cornish brill with scallop and crab ravioli, Yorkshire lamb with salsa verde, or mushroom Wellington with kale and mushroom velouté. From the grill, sample the 25-day dry-aged Chateaubriand with grilled bone marrow and chips.
The Gilbert Scott bar serves up creative drinks in show-stopping, 19th-century surroundings. World wines are joined by house cocktails, including the Blackberry and Basil Royale, the Rhubarb and Ginger Sour, and The Herbalist, comprising thyme-infused gin, green Chartreuse, elderflower, lime and absinthe.
A truly British institution in an iconic setting, Gilbert Scott restaurant sits yards from the platforms at King’s Cross Rail Station.

Overall, we were rather disappointed. The venue is wonderful (once you find it within the St Pancras complex) and the staff were all very friendly but, once seated at our table, the service was very patchy and slow. I chose the lamb which was very undercooked and I could hardly cut it let alone eat it, which put me off the rest of my meal.

I was not at all impressed with the Gilbert Scott, It is advertised at a cost of 4 courses and a glass of wine for £30. You would come out very hungry if that is all you spent. The seating is poor the menu very poor with to many supplements, food not that good and coffee cool. My bill came out at £135.

You just can't find any fault! The food was exceptional as was the service and the ambience. Great cocktails in the bar before the meal. Try a Londonist, fabulous!

It was great.
Only comment was that it was disappointing that the mains didn't come with anything and all sides had to be purchased as extra's.

The building with the restaurant layout as well as the service were amazing.
I went for a special deal 4 courses with a cocktail for £30, which very good value for money considering the quality of the place you are dinning in.
I liked the pre-starter which was Fish brandade with salsa verde aioli. It was small but good.
The starter I had was 'Roasted beetroot (V) with carrot, pine nut, potato', it was nice but the beetroot looked bt old and was hardly any pine nuts in it.
My main was 'Roasted Bream' which was okay but little overcooked.
The cocktail, however, wasn't the best as you can barely taste any flavour in it.
