Restaurant description

While a quintessentially British country pub near to Stratford-upon-Avon, The Fuzzy Duck also has a modern, boutique outlook. Featuring a gourmet British menu best described as ‘contemporary Cotswold’, it prizes its sleek bar with both classic and innovative cocktails and provides luxurious lodging for guests.

Boasting British-sourced ingredients, The Fuzzy Duck menu offers eclectic, seasonal dishes, with lines specifically for kids, Sunday lunch and breakfast. It proffers mouth-watering choices such as wild rabbit ravioli with sweet cicely beurre blanc or the Ducky Fuzz supper, with duck breast, confit legs and faggots.

The Fuzzy Duck in Armscote was formerly a picturesque Coaching Inn, but has been tastefully refurbished by those behind Baylis & Harding. With a sleek white interior, yet rustic exposed beams, flagstone floors and roaring fireplaces, it poses the ideal duality of old and new, befitting of its pastoral setting.

The Fuzzy Duck is just 14 minutes’ drive from Stratford-upon-Avon in the picturesque Warwickshire hamlet of Armscote, nestled in the beautiful hills and valleys of the Cotswolds.

We're local and have been to many of the nearby places for Sunday lunch. They aren't a patch on this. It's all in the detail. Lovely little pots of mint sauce, horseradish and mustard were automatically put on the table. The hot plates arrived with the meat, roast potatoes and yorkshire puds nicely displayed and accompanied by generous and seasonal veg in a separate dish. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was busy but nicely so. I don't know why it's taken so long for us to give this place a try, but we'll be regulars from now on! Thank you!

We loved it, it was welcoming, honest but above all the food was amazing and the staff couldn’t do more to help you. Food was just that bit nicer than you would normally find and to be honest I felt prices were very reasonable. We have already booked again.

A superb evening at our favourite table. Service was prompt and the staff were quite charming - again. I started with scallops on black pudding, followed it with liver and bacon, accompanied by an excellent Chilean Merlot, and concluded with affogato and Kahlua. Our coffee came with (not after) our desserts - exactly as requested. Huge bonus that staff discovered it was my birthday and gave me a surprise birthday card and a present (in a big bottle !). The room was delightfully buzzy - certainly not noisy. We'll be going back some time soon.

We visited the Fuzzy Duck after viewing the A La Carte menu on line and having been tempted by two particular main courses. Unfortunately on the day the menu in the restaurant was not as shown on the website and the dishes we looked forward to were not available. This sadly impacted on our enjoyment of the food we selected, although we could not fault the quality. On a brighter note the puddings were excellent and very enjoyable.
