Overall the experience was good. The service was very attentive and the whole party enjoyed the meal. The only slight negative was that it was not possible to have the lamb "pink", however this was made clear by the server when ordering.

Located right by the entrance of the sprawling Windsor Great Park, The Fox and Hounds restaurant in Surrey champions regional and seasonal produce on its traditionally British menu. Heritage-style art adorns the walls along with large, gilded mirrors that highlight the good-sized dining area and a bar well-stocked in quality ales. Dappled oak wood and impressive glass wine cabinets sweep the length of the room, leading out to a charming courtyard for al fresco dining.

This is my favourite pub I've eaten al fresco an intimate girlie dinner and a large party dinner. Impromptu and casually called in and enjoyed the experience every time even when they are busy.

The location, atmosphere and pub are lovely. I had some decent fish and chips and my wife had a vegetable and cheese plate. My son was disappointed with and didn't finish his burger. The meat appeared as it had been re-heated from the prior day and was very solid looking. The service at the bar was good, but after delivering the food we were never asked if everything was OK or if we needed anything else - perhaps down to a very young staff?

We'll be looking elsewhere for better food.

The sharing platters for starters are delicious and lovely to share as a family. The service is very friendly and attentive.

We liked the ambience of the restaurant, the friendly staff and the range and choice of dishes and wines. However, we misunderstood a couple of things when the waitress provided details of the special dishes, and also the nature of the potato side dishes - an easy result of English with a foreign accent . This lead to one main being sent back and an alternative quickly provided with a positive response by the management. Irritating but not a major issue

The best thing about this pub is the location and environment. We were seated in an outdoor area that was simply beautiful. The service was friendly but it was a disappointment that our meals were not served at the same time. One of the starters was missing a key ingredient and as the price was about £8 this was shoddy. The food is overpriced for what it is although it is good Gastropub standard. The bill came to £110 for 3 people for 3 courses with 2 beers and 2 wines. We had an absolutely lovely afternoon sitting in the sunshine but I would not go back for the food.
