Overlooking the pretty Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, The Fox & Anchor – Wolverhampton dates back to the 18th century, and serves vintage British pub cuisine in a beautiful countryside location. The seasonally-prepared food can be savoured from the warm hearth-fire in winter or the al fresco beer garden in summer.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Fox & Anchor menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Fox & Anchor ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The Fox & Anchor is merely 13 minutes’ drive from central Wolverhampton.

Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed their meals very much. It was the first visit for 4 of our party who said they would be very happy to come back. The waitress who served us was very friendly and gave us just enough time between courses before choosing the next,

The lunchtime menu was disappointing. Our one vegetarian felt that she had not been catered for. However the restaurant provided her with an alternative that wasn't on the menu. The service was good and cannot be faulted, but our party did not enjoy the food.

Disappointed, service was slow disgusted with the portions considering the price. We thought it was overpriced for Sunday lunch and my husband only eat the Yorkshire pudding and 2 potatoes.
