A Victorian townhouse in Chelsea provides the luxurious and elegant surroundings for The Flower Tea by renowned French Chef Alexis Gauthier, a seasonally changing, quintessentially British afternoon tea with some French twists along the way.

Award-winning chef Alexis Gauthier has created an inspired new style of afternoon tea. Always having drawn inspiration from flora, it felt natural to apply his love of flowers and herbs to this unique afternoon tea at 11 Cadogan Gardens.

Using seasonal ingredients, a carefully structured 5-course menu is formed of elegant sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream and a selection of delectable patisseries. The "Flower Delicacies" are accompanied by a choice of the finest loose-leaf tea. A finale is a favourite fragrance embodied in patisserie. Each season Chef Alexis will choose a fragrance and challenge himself to translate the fragrance into flavours. Many other surprises and treats are presented along the way and guests also receive a signed souvenir menu and a parting gift.

A stone's throw from King's Road, Sloane Square station is just a 5-minute walk away.

I was really looking forward to this, but unfortunately the afternoon tea was cancelled at late notice.

    Would definitely not recommend.

I treated my mum to the Flowering afternoon tea as a Birthday gift and it was the most personal and special experience we could have had. From the peaceful, relaxed yet sophisticated drawing room arrangement, to the personal service (Zibi is an exceptional waiter and delivers afternoon tea like nobody else - you can feel his passion for it). Nothing was too much trouble and we were guided through the afternoon at a perfect pace. The Autumn themed tea was unique, accompanied by beautifully crafted menus and 5 courses that delivered more surprises and flavours that captured the atmosphere of the season. The tea recommendations enhanced the specific stages of the tea from savoury to sweet and the take-away box of marshmallows was a lovely gift to enjoy at home. A truly wonderful way to spend a chilly Autumn Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful hotel nr sloanes square mixing old english and modern features.
Summer Flower tea was a picture to the eyes and taste buds .
5 courses of beautifully presented petit fours and sandwiches .not so much quantity but quality. Champagne was also excellent. A lovely touch in tbe crockery used flowers inspired .
And we were left in the capable hands of Zibi who took us through the tea in a very nice manner. A treat really would recommend.

One of the best and most memorable afternoon teas my friend and I have ever had. Loved all the details from the pretty Wedgwood china to the use of fresh flowers on the plates, the unusual flavour combinations such as white chocolate and pea mousse, the sense of spectacle and yet in such a cosy setting - and above all the wonderful service and kindness of the staff.

Very friendly boutique hotel with wonderful food and excellent value for money. Surprise birthday plate of sweet things was a nice touch! Also a box of marshmallow to go home with. The flower tea theme was apt as it was Chelsea flower show week.
