In the tranquil Weston Turville, The Five Bells in the picturesque Chilterns has a rustic atmosphere due to the pretty surrounding countryside and the vintage British food it serves. With a welcoming hearth, an al fresco beer garden and an Innkeeper’s Lodge, The Five Bells is the quintessential British pub.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Five Bells menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Five Bells ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Five Bells is just a 5-minute drive from Stoke Mandeville Train Station, or a 10-minute drive from Aylesbury.

The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The food was very enjoyable and there was no long wait between courses. A very enjoyable evening all round.

Not a great experience. The pizza, chicken and all chips except skin on, were off the menu. Staff friendly but not that attentive.

Very disappointed. The restaurant and staff were unwelcoming and the carpet was very grubbly looking.

Although it was a Saturday night it was very quiet which was just as well since the staff appeared to be struggling to cope.

The food was ok but our simple drinks order for 2 was wrong. We also had to remind them about our coffee order.

Our 2 different waitresses appeared like they didn’t want to be there. One was in need of some grooming advice and the other one could be advised about her poor manner and that it is nice to smile!

Service very poor because only one waitress was serving the whole restaurant. The kitchen seemed overstretched also with incomplete dishes being served. After ordering desserts and coffee, the coffee came,we finished it and still no desserts.By now we had been in the restaurant for 2hrs.so we got up,paid the bill(minus the desserts) and left.
We have been patrons of the 5Bells for over 40 years and have never had an experience like this before. We will think twice before going again!

    Excellent.
My Auntie is very poorly with cancer and you made her birthday very special. You provided a pudding with a candle and made the entire area of people sing. This meant a lot to her and I.

The ambience of the restaurant was good and the staff were very cheerful and helpful. However, the two men in our party could not get their first choice of beers on the pump. Some of us didn’t enjoy the food at all, it wasn’t very tastey. The other four of us did enjoy our food, so a mixed reaction.

Nice comfortable table and lovely restaurant. No rushing us which was good. Cutlery was a little sticky. We both had the mallow desert which came served up on a big dinner plate, it looked horrible and just splatted on the plate, however tasty lovely, a lot of money for what it was, should be in a serving dish which does it justice.
