Distinctively situated on the cusp of the beautiful South Downs, The Fishers Pond pub has stunning views across the water and countryside. Previously a café and restaurant, it continues this culinary tradition with vintage British cuisine, to be enjoyed from the welcoming hearth-fire and al fresco beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Fishers Pond menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Fishers Pond ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Fishers Pond is only a 20-minute walk to the South Downs, or an 8-minute drive to central Eastleigh.

Meals were very good . All four of us had different dishes and we all enjoyed our food. But please could you put hooks behind the ladies toilet doors for coats and handbags.

We arrived and were seated in minutes. As there were 7 of us our table was in a brilliant place where we could all be together without being in the way or in the middle of the room so we felt that we could talk and be comfortable. The waitresses were lovely and friendly and the food was plentiful and delicious.

Had a Table booked at 7pm, arrived and then waited 10 mins to be seated. Once seated waited 20-25 before being offered Drink/Menu. Drink took around another 15 mins to arrive. Ordered food, that took another 45 mins. Paid up and went to Mcdonalds for our dessert as we didnt want to wait around any longer.
Wasnt the waiters fault by any means, just seem understaffed and a little dissorganised that night although the resturant was by no means full. Been there many times before, so a little dissapointed.

We always visit the Fisher Pond on family birthdays and when when friends visit us , we be going to the pond for twenty odd years . I do miss the Gamon Steak, the ham is nice but no where could beat the Fishers Pond Gammon . We normanly start off with a Guinness which is very good. On my bbirthday i get a little the shape of a bottle.

Wasn't impressed to be honest. The table wasn't ready for the time I booked it for and when we got it, there wasn't enough room. Waited ages get served, the starters arrived quite quickly, but we waited for nearly 45 minutes for our mains. We weren't told that there was a big booking until just before our mains arrived. The mains were not very good, the chips were over cooked as we're the onion rings, my friends bubble & squeak was burnt to the bottom of her bowl as if it had been held on a hot plate for too long. This was my first visit to the Fishers Pond and I was very poor. I won't be coming back.
