Boasting spectacular views over the neighbouring woods and fields, The Firecrest is a tribute to the vintage British pub, serving seasonal cuisine in a rustic, brick and oak, building. The appealing ivy-enclosed walls are can be enjoyed from the al fresco beer garden, and the cosy log fire complements winter meals well.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Firecrest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Firecrest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The Firecrest is only 4 minutes’ drive from Wendover Train Station, and 13 minutes from central Aylesbury.

Booked two days before online which took less than two minutes - very good

The food was excellent, however the protracted wait for our table, and then seeing a group that came in after us seated first was a real let down. I was also annoyed that they do not answer a telephone and we had to book online. The communication was poor. While I will dine there again it will not be for a long time. Also the fact a lot of children are at this restaurant will also delay our next visit. I am afraid not everyone is child friendly.

Food was good & served very promptly. We had the turkey Sunday roast, but although it was only 5.00pm they were the last available. We have been a little later on a number of previous occasions when the turkey was sold out. I would have thought that if it was that popular more would have been made available.

We visited the Firecrest for lunch on Saturday 29th October as a family of 4 to celebrate our fathers birthday. We were shown to our table straight away and ordered our drinks and meals. 3 of us had steak & mushroom pie with fresh vegetables whilst 1 choose the lamb duo with fresh vegetables, we must say all 4 of us rated the meal as excellent and plentiful. only 3 of us chose a sweet which was also lovely. Would definitely go there for a meal again.

The food was very good & felt home cooked.
The restaurant was very homely as well.
The experience was let down by the staffing levels. It took a long time to receive a drink or food once they had been ordered. I appreciate that Sunday is a busy day but surely extra staff should be put on to cover these periods.

We akways enjoy the Firecrest but unfortunately apart from the lady waiting on our table the rest of the service was quite poor. Even though it was fairly quiet we had to wait ages for our drinks and food. The food was mediocre but we didn't feel as though we could complain as we had already mentioned about the long delays. We are hoping that this is just a one off as we go here at least twice a month but if we have a repeat of this service then I'm afraid we won't be going to the Firecrest again

Staff were brilliant really polite and very obliging, couldn't do enough for us. Food was ok! Fish was a little oily and more batter than fish, but otherwise a lovely dinner. I go here regularly as it is always a nice place to eat.

I had a lovely evening the food was really good especially the carrot cake cheesecake! The steak I had was perfectly cooked but the only thing I would say is that it could have done with being served with some vegetables. The service was really good and we were made to feel very welcome!
