Boasting spectacular views over the neighbouring woods and fields, The Firecrest is a tribute to the vintage British pub, serving seasonal cuisine in a rustic, brick and oak, building. The appealing ivy-enclosed walls are can be enjoyed from the al fresco beer garden, and the cosy log fire complements winter meals well.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Firecrest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Firecrest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The Firecrest is only 4 minutes’ drive from Wendover Train Station, and 13 minutes from central Aylesbury.

Excellent dining. Food was amazing and the steak cooked as I asked medium rare. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Really lovely meal thank you. Will highly recommend The Firecrest to my friends and family.

We went at 6pm on Mother's Day. On arrival we waited 20minutes to be seated and from start to finish it took over 2 hours to be fed. The place was is chaos, not enough staff or inadequate kitchen function. Staff there were very friendly but were well beaten by the time we arrived. They got greedy and overbooked on a busy day. Shame because the place has a good ambience and the food was very good. I would expect this to be a much better experience for others who avoided a special day in the calendar. It just had that warm feeling that would encourage me to return to give it another chance.

Unfortunately something went wrong and our main meal took about an hour to arrive. I took my Mother and she did not have a starter but I did. Somewhere after the starter something went wrong so my Mothers meal of pan fried fish was completely hard skinned on the outside and really not very nice and together with mine, one could tell, had probably been waiting in the kitchen for a period of time. Our waitress was very understanding and had a word with the manager, who pointed out that the fish was pan fried but took the cost of my Mothers meal off the bill. I feel that the food had been waiting and it was just unfortunate on a busy day.

Far too busy, took 2 hours for food, not ideal with a toddler. Had leave before finishing.

Good was excellent. Beef slightly over done in my opinion. Welcome was very poor, should have had a greeter on as the bar team kept being slowed down to check people in. Waited 40 mins for a booked table no apology. Service slow but ok. Manager was friendly.

We were a party of six ordering a variation of meals which all were extremely tasty and beautifully prepared . Plenty on the plates for a very hungry party ! Our very attentive young waiter was a real star ! Happy and outgoing making us all feel very special on our night out . He gets ten out of ten for effort . Thank you to him . We will most definitely make this our favoured place to eat out. See you all very soon ??

Good inexpensive menu. Pleasant surroundings. Good service. Ample parking
Limited range of plain dishes. Maybe options could be offered allowing selection of items or preparation of items from more that one dish.
