With a rich musical heritage, The Concorde is a Southampton hotel that has hosted early performances from Elton John, Rod Stewart and Eric Clapton. One of its dining rooms is The Fig, a laidback yet elegant area that started its life as the musicians’ bar.
Alongside seasonal daily specials, the menu at The Fig offers pleasing pub-style classics, like sirloin steak, roasted vegetables and hand-cut chunky chips, and coq au vin with garlic and herb-sautéed potatoes. Lunch at The Fig features a selection of easy-dining options, from chicken caesar salad with grilled bacon to a red pepper and tomato salsa pasta bake.
The Fig in Eastleigh draws on its musical heritage with a large pewter statue of a jazz trumpeter taking centre-stage. Live jazz is provided by the Dave Lewin Trio, while there’s a scenic woodland and riverside terrace for al fresco dining.
The Fig is a cosy dining space with rustic wooden floors and snug sofas. Southampton Airport is a 6-minute drive away.

Lovely meal as ever and I would recommend the burger and fries - very tasty indeed! The service was excellent as usual and we were well looked after.

An excellent place to dine. Lovely décor with many added touches to make it cosy and inviting. The service is spot on and you do not have to wait long before you're food arrives. The waiters are so polite and courteous and all look very smart and well groomed. The food is delicious and so full of flavour; cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The saying is that you get what you pay for and it's certainly very true here. Excellent dining experience.

Excellent meal and service, it was well organised with all the restrictions in place and we didn't feel unsafe.

Frequent visitor over the years...Service was ok. Only 3 tables in, so could have been far more attentive. 3 meals lovely. Fourth the sausages overcooked and hard. We're not eaten. Waitress informed when plates eventually cleared from table. We had desserts. Fine. No other contact for coffees or top up drinks. I went to counter to pay. Asked for the fourth meal to be removed from bill. No apology, just was removed after consulting manager. Shame We would go again though, but you asked...so opportunity to remark.

We ate early at 1800, we were the first car in the car park and the first people in the restaurant. It's all very different (obviously), but we were made to feel welcome as always. All the sensible precautions were in place. Excellent meal, more varied menu than when we ate there a few weeks ago. A few more groups came in, but were sat well away from us. Staff are always good company and the food a reasonable price. We'll be there next week.

Nice welcome when we arrived! Several other tables in use added to the pleasing ambiance. My friend had the spiced Thai fishcakes which she said were really tasty. I had the mushroom stroganoff. It was delicious & nice & hot.
