A lovely traditional setting. It was very comfortable and the service was very good except that they did not bring the water we asked for. We had afternoon tea and the sandwiches and scones were very good. However the cakes were far to sweet for my taste. The range of teas available was excellent.

it was ok - to be honest it starts losing its charm as the traditional afternoon tea is nit as good as before. We loved the unlimited sandwiches but the waiting staff was too stingy to offer us more by giving us less and less choice. I didnt even try the cakes at the end as was only one piece per person (we had 5) and i offered mine to others. Limited time was a big put off, i used to sit there for hours catching up with friends and families. A bit of a disappoinment really.

Average. At first we were sat at a table next to a baby and pushchair with toys everywhere. Our table (table 7) hadn't even been made and was made as we sat at it. Then when the guests with baby left the table it was re-laid with a lot of chatting and bluster as we tried to eat our lunch. We asked to be moved but my wife was told rather rudely that we couldn't. Food was good and service from one particular waiter was superb but location of table/atmosphere was horrendous.
