With a whimsical blend of rustic rural and Renaissance styles, The Eltisley is a beautiful restaurant, bar and garden. Inventive international recipes are served alongside cocktails from the bar, with al fresco seating being the perfect tranquil hangout for leisurely meals.

The Eltisley menu is a mouthwatering showcase of classic British dishes combined with eclectic international flavours. To start, there are light nibbles like smoked mackerel pâté with spiced crème fraîche, moving on to signature mains like the impressive hanging kebabs which come with options like bavette steak, or grilled and roasted vegetables with halloumi. Other indulgent recipes include sticky beef rib, or whole lobster with rich garlic butter sauce.

Desserts from the trolley at The Eltisley in St Neots are a real treat, with toasted marshmallow and fruit s'mores with chocolate sauce being a real crowd pleaser. From the bar, there are a range of beers, ales and stouts, as well as signature cocktails and a selection of fine wines.

With its stunning murals, exposed wooden beams and twinkling chandeliers, The Eltisley is a truly special venue to dine. St Neots Rail Station is a 10-minute drive away.

My coeliac friend was so excited to be able to choose from all the options on the menu and not have to ask about cross contamination as the whole menu is gluten free, she wanted to try everything. It was a Thursday evening so fairly quiet, but a lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed my hook of lamb, all the food we selected was excellent and I enjoyed my cocktail.

My 4 year old son is on a low gluten diet so it is somewhere I would consider taking him too.

This was our first visit to The Eltisley. My wife is a coeliac so gluten-free (GF) is mandatory. As the menu is totally GF it is great for my wife to have total choice. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our 3 courses were superbly cooked and of generous portions. Service was prompt. The pork belly starter was tender and succulent. I had the Chicken and leek pie very tasty and served with a large portion mashed potato. My wife had the Honey Chicken Hook with fries and garlic butter, plus a side order of spiced red cabbage. For desert my wife had the Apple and Rhubarb crumble and commented that it was one of the best crumbles she had had even before being diagnosed. It was a lovely dinner served by lovely staff. Based on our first experience we will certainly be booked again.

Table booked for 19.30 but didn’t eat until approx 20.30. We were offered a complimentary drink but this was added on the bill. We were served by a very polite girl from Australia who apologised and deducted this immediately.

Friends and I went here for my birthday and it was lovely. The setting was beautiful and the food was very tasty. Our favourite was the ‘hooks’. I had the lamb hook with chunky chips and Stilton sauce and it was delicious. I can’t wait to visit again.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

We were the only diners, we were cold and lonely in our corner of the dining room. There was plenty of room in the bar, we’d of been happy to sit where there was a little more atmosphere

visited with friends for lunch. We all had mains and sweets. Skewers - all the flavours were lovely. Food well presented. We would visit again. The staff were polite and knowledgable about the menu. I personally thought it was expensive. But overall it was very good

Gluten free is important for my wife and all food is g/f so nice to have a choice.

First time eating at the Eltisley with family and a baby. Decor nice with different areas to sit.
    Staff were friendly and helpful.
Highchair was not user friendly and was too low to pull to table and had no food tray so was difficult to feed baby.
Was disappointed with the food. My husband and son chose the sharing platter and there was just enough meat to share with only one jug of sauce to share. I ordered the king prawn hanging dish with a side salad. The prawns and dipping sauce were tasty but the side salad was not good. Fish dish ordered was just ok.
Overall we were all disappointed with the meals, having eating regularly at the sister restaurant The Willow Tree at Bourne.
