    Had the aubergine and halloumi
"Burger " being a Veggie. Nice bread and tomato chilli sauce...but I really didnt expect a very thin slice of Aubergine which didnt reach the ends of the bread with a thick chunk of halloumi...had imagined some burger form with nice leaves too but was left dissapointed. Couldnt taste any veg in the coleslaw whatsoever..just a creamy gloop; quite dissapointing as had wanted to visit here for quite a while. Partner went for gammon with duck egg. Again not enough flavour...couldvd been any egg and small slice of gammon which compared equaly to a high street pub locals! Wihite wine was nof chilled...Service was warm and friendly. Surroundings just a nice pub......quite busy for lunchtime. Had to park in Sainsburys next door as no parking spaces free.

Good food, good service, good choice of beers. 'Background' music too loud - but that might be because of my age

Excellent service, friendly staff, excellent food and not overpriced. Not too sure about the "Pimped up chips" though!

I was sat down next to a group of rowdy men who was stood drinking. Didnt seem an appropriate place to eat. When i got my food, the puzza was dripping in fat and geese that i couldnt lift it without it falling apart. The garlic bread was under cooked and chips were hard. I had a rude waitress who didnt even speak or look at us, and yet i still left a tip and didnt complain. Didnt like the experience and wont be returning again.

Everything about the experience was exceptional. We visited with friends & hoped we'd picked a place which would suit all of us! And we had!!! The service eas excellent. The menu had plenty of choice - although my husband wanted the scouse pie, lemon tart & a particular Belgian beer (delerium tremens?) but all 3 were unavailable! He managed to find plenty of other items he liked though. The food all tasted fabulous. My husband's remark on tasting the duck egg was - the chef really knows how to get an egg just right. I could go on adding superlative after superlative but I'll just say we'll most definitely be back!
