It was not flamboyant as I was hoping -my first afternoon tea. My Wife loves afternoon tea but we felt uncomfortable straight away having being placed in the corner. We requested a chair so we could face each other. Once we had finished it took some time before I could wave my hand and get a staff member to come over so we could pay. Again, not as pleasant as I was hoping. The staff member who served us was kind and professional - and offered a fine service.

Beautiful surroundings lovely champagne and tea and tasty morsels. I do think the emphasis was on the sweet side though and would have preferred more sweet/savoury balance. (Perhaps a cheese scone at the end instead of 2 sweet ones?) Also we were crammed into a corner table next to a large group, however they were happy to move us.

A warm welcome, friendly staff and an Afternoon Tea that tastes as good as it looks!

The food was lovely but the service exceptionally slow. We waited 40 minutes for a tea and had to ask three times. For 35 per head I would expect better service.

Afternoon tea was wonderful. Good selection of sandwiches, cakes and teas. Was disappointed that we could only have one variety of tea. Great customer service, very attentive hosting. Would definitely return.
