Located in Dunchurch, a village recognised for its rustic beauty as a conservation area, The Dun Cow serves traditional British pub food in an eye-catching old building named after a local legend. It features a pretty al fresco beer garden to enjoy the unique village, and a welcoming hearth for winter.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Dun Cow menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Dun Cow ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Dunchurch, The Dun Cow is only 6 minutes’ drive from Rugby.

Excellent staff, but very busy so getting attention was sometimes difficult.
We wanted soup but the one on offer was strange, it would have been better for us to have had a simple alternative such as Tomato, as we chose not to have a starter because of this. Please serve food on a plate. Perhaps I'm old fashioned but I don't want bowls for chips or boards for pizza.

Service was very poor .. We were still waiting on people arriving and we were asked if we wanted to order . Ordered a starter platter with other starters only to be told when the other starters had came out it wasn't available. Waited for a long time for the mains then had to wait so long for them to take dessert orders .. Had to ask for my coffee four times. It wasn't that busy either. It was a shame as the good itself was very good.

The Dun Cow is a wonderful place to dine. The staff are warm and friendly. The atmosphere is great but importantly the food is lovely. The selection is great ( something for everybody! ) and the service was prompt with a smile. We always enjoy our family evenings there. Would happily recommend to anybody considering a visit!

Overall a very nice experience, nice, friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere, super food, quick service, can't fault anything. Just one thing tables are so close felt we couldn't talk privately & as the restaurant was full when we arrived there was no alternative table, when the waitress was aware of this as soon as another table became available we were moved, this was quickly sorted.
I really could not find anything to complain about,

Very busy as usual, but the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nice table in nice surroundings. Plenty of choice and a very nice Sangiovese to go with it. It's always a surprise just how nice this place is, don't mean it as a backhanded compliment!

We have visited the Dun Cow just a few times over the past two years. It's a place we like to go to if it's a treat! We had my sister in law over as shed been helping us move house. We decided to treat her by taking her for a lovely meal. We all ordered a medium-cooked fillet steak. This was the most juiciest and tastiest steak I think I've ever had in my whole life! Every bite was an 'mmmmm' moment. This was the same for the other two people I was with. Our waitress (Jennifer) was very professional. We were really impressed that she didn't write down our orders but simply remembered them. She was extremely helpful and courteous. The food didn't take long to come. We each had a starter. My starter wasn't on the 'starter' menu but I still got what I asked for. The puddings - especially the Bailey's ice-cream - were all so yummy! All washed down with a lovely glass of red rioja. An excellent all-rounder and a highly recommended place. The fires in inside are very cosy in winter too!
