Had a lovely afternoon. The service was excellent and they let us stay and relax for as long as we wanted. The scones were amazing (probably the best I've ever had) and when it arrived they added a little theatrics with some dry ice in one of the sweet dishes. I'd definitely say that there is more than enough food per person so don't eat lunch beforehand. They do let you take away anything you don't finish in a nicely presented box and they happily continually topped up our tea. In terms of the "science" theme, there's not much there except the dry ice feature but the food was lovely so it really didn't matter to me. My only issue was the large chair seating and low tables. It's not a comfortable way to sit to eat anything and was bad for my back. Would have preferred to sit at a table. They did have a few of these but they were reserved. Perhaps something to mention when you book if that's important to you. Would recommend and happily go back again.

Science afternoon tea was great fun. Service was friendly but a little slow. Our table faced inwards towards reception so the view was of a long line of people checking in. Maybe consider screening this off if possible.

Booked an afternoon tea post-Science Museum. Everyone - parents, grandparent, 12-year-old - was absolutely delighted by the science sweets. Location is very convenient to museums, room decor is classy and cozy, food and teas were excellent, as was the service. Very much enjoyed the tea and would gladly return when we are in London next.

We took our children for the science afternoon tea after visiting the Science Museum and we were incredibly disappointed. The service was dreadful and we were made to feel unwelcome.

The doorman offered no assistance getting my daughter's pram up the steps. There wasn't enough cutlery on the table and the waiter argued with me when I asked for a plate for me and my son. He then only brought one, so I had to find another plate myself (even though we paid for afternoon tea for each member of our party). He then ignored us for the rest of the visit.

Having just come from staying at the Sofitel the Palm in Dubai, the contrast in service was particularly stark.

It's a real shame as the food is good and the concept great, it was just let down by really poor service.

Really enjoyable afternoon tea with the other half on Monday at The Drawing Rooms. The staff were all really friendly from the moment we arrived to when we finally left. I'm a picky eater and they were more than happy to help by swapping out the savouries for me to more plain ones (thank you). The hot chocolate I had was super tasty and hubby really enjoyed the Ampersand blend of tea he had.
The actual arrival of the cake stands with all the goodies has some great theatrics to it and all looked delicious and well presented. Cracking on to the eating part and it all tasted amazing - I was a big old pig and had an additional scone as they were sooooo tasty.
