Boasting their famous afternoon tea, set in a traditionally charming space within the Macdonald Randolph Hotel, The Drawing Room showcases timelessly elegant decor and the finest ingredients. Enjoy classic teas and delicious scones with clotted cream at this epitome of English culinary tradition.

The award-winning Macdonald Drawing Room menu features only the finest, seasonal produce with emphasis on local suppliers and traceability, and offers light meals and refreshments. For afternoon tea, enjoy homemade pastries and finger sandwiches from tiered cake stands, while sipping on full-bodied, freshly brewed teas. Scones, cakes and sweet treats form part of this quintessentially British tradition, which may well be joined by a luxurious glass of Champagne for a celebratory touch.

Absorb the charismatic, English decor with tartan armchairs, charming sitting areas and elegant chandeliers. Original artwork and a soft colour scheme ensure a relaxed, yet sophisticated atmosphere to this Oxford institution.

Macdonald Randolph Hotel Oxford is located a 10-minute walk from Oxford Station.

The dining experience was excellent and the waiting staff very attentive. The afternoon tea is expensive but for a special occasion it’s a treat but as I’m disabled at the moment it was very difficult to get into the hotel. The elderly porter put the ramp down but was a little offhand. When getting back down to the street two members of staff assisted and were very kind. To be honest it’s dangerous for the disabled at the moment as there is only one steep access because of building works.

We took afternoon tea at The Randolph and it was very nice indeed. Service was excellent and the tea was also good. It's a criticism of the hotel that I have generally, but the decor could do with a bit of love and attention.
