The Drawing Room at Flemings Mayfair Hotel echoes the elegance of the hotel’s Georgian origins. Period features blend with contemporary design to create a unique setting for a range of afternoon teas.

Working in partnership with the East India Tea Company, afternoon tea at the drawing room features 13 traditional and exotic teas as well as a signature Flemings blend. From the comfort of the refined Indian-inspired tea room, guests can indulge in a classic English afternoon tea, complete with freshly made sandwiches, scones, cupcakes and handmade petits fours.

The Drawing Room features an original marble fireplace, with bookcases either side home to a fascinating collection of art books. Hand-painted wall panels depict early views of India, whilst bespoke cabinetry, velvet sofas and antique tables add a further air of timeless sophistication.

Flemings London is nestled in the heart of exclusive Mayfair, just 3 minutes’ walk from Green Park Tube Station. For fine dining from Shaun Rankin, Ormer Mayfair can also be found within the Flemings Mayfair Hotel

Ok food, excelled waitress but otherwise nothing special. We booked for my friend's bday and I made that clear several times. We weren't greeted in a festive way, we weren't offered any refills or anything to make her experience one to remember. A bit disappointed to he honest...

Service not quite as attentive as one might wish, but overall a good experience in the new area.

We visited for afternoon tea which was delicious. The staff were attentive without being over bearing, the room was lovely and we really enjoyed our experience. As our food took longer to arrive than they would have liked we were served complimentary champagne. Due to an unfortunate incident at the end of our meal which was in no way the fault of the hotel, we were given a room to recover in and served with more champagne as an apology. Again the staff did everything they could to help us.

Afternoon tea deal: £48 plus 12 1/2% service for two (usual price £48pp plus service). Same (not a 'deal') menu. Comprised per person a generously sized glass of champagne; three small finger sandwiches and a bridge roll with uninspiring fillings (cheese, ham, egg); two small, freshly baked scones; and two small delicious pastries plus small pot of tea - enough for two and a bit cups. No offer to refresh the tea when drunk (refreshed when asked); request for one small additional pastry each refused or rather offered at £4 (plus 12 1/2% service) additional cost per pastry. We didn't ask for supplemental sandwiches or scones but I sense this would have met with the same response. Feedback that comparable venues all offer to supplement (within reason) every element of the afternoon tea food offering met with the retort that this wasn't not the case. No-one was going to come well out of that discussion so we let it go! Calm and pleasant room.
My suggestions to Flemings. Up the interest level of the sandwich fillings, don't charge for the odd additional sandwich or pastry - this is false economy; a bit of leeway will not hit your margins and will avoid you looking mean. If I had been paying £48 pp for the offering as I've described it and asked to pay for the odd additional sandwich or pastry, I'd have been pretty cheesed off! And, as I say, this was the regular £48 menu not a special menu.

Very good dining experience! The staff were very helpful and nice, ready to cope with my dietary requirements. Food were good as well! A perfect and quiet place to have afternoon tea in central London.

Booked champagne afternoon tea for 2. Champagne nice and service good but food not great. Sandwiches dry and bland, cakes far too sweet. 4 different cakes presented which had to be shared between 2 and awkward to do so as a couples juat crumbled as soon as we tried to cut them. Water we were told was included and then we were charged for it at the end. No top up of tea so only had 2 cups. Overall quite poor and won't be returning or recommending as there are plenty more excellent places in London for the same price or less. Disappointed.
