Restaurant description

Experience elevated pub dining at The Dorset Nottingham, where one can bask in the sunshine al fresco-style or cosy up indoors perched on the bright floral chairs. Serving traditional British dishes, stop by first thing for a fry-up or on Sunday afternoons for roast.

Seasonal pub fare and self-proclaimed comfort food is found on The Dorset menu. Start with honey and hoisin-glazed ribs before moving onto fish & chips or the pork belly with sage buttered mash, a black pudding fritter, and golden ale gravy.

At the bar, order tropical cocktails that matches the décor, including the ‘dis-gin-tive’, an elderflower G&T with lychee liqueur and pomegranate. The Dorset restaurant interior is full of life with brilliant colours splashed throughout, from the patterned chairs to deep blue sofas, vibrant wallpaper, and leafy artwork on the wall.

Travelling by car, The Dorset West Bridgford is just 2 minutes from the A52 and a 5-minute walk to the scenic Wilford Claypit Nature Reserve.

Always a welcome particularly from a young Irish chap. He is excellent and was coping alone on Saturday morning 28 Dec.(he could really have done with help). He was the reason we returned having come for lunch and been served by him before . Disabled toilet was also excellent ! Tried lunch and breakfast and both were lovely . Grown-up kids ate the vegetarian breakfast which looked brilliant. Keep going because it’s all going very well so far and the decor is lovely .

Excellent service. Seated immediately. Venue was busy as it was Christmas Eve but we had plenty of space and volume wasn’t too loud so conversation was possible. Food was excellent, we had a range of dishes from the menu and could recommend them all

This was a first visit to The Dorset for my friends and I. There were seven of us and all were very pleased with their meals, the service and the friendliness of the staff.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. The menu is good. Service was ok, although was not offered more drinks during the meal. The food was a bit disappointing. There is a funny taste to the food and seems a bit oily. It’s like a taste that you may get by using old oil? I have been to The Dorset twice but this has been the case both times. Very disappointed as my partner and I dine out quite often and this is just down the road so would be convenient but I’m not sure we will rush back.
