Lovely afternoon tea

Was quite disappointed with the sandwiches not one of us liked the Brie, would have liked to have been asked what sandwiches. Only had the egg as not keen on chutneys The scones had too much dough, would have liked to have seen a fruit scone. The lemon cake was dry. Literally had the table of 2 sat amongst us too! First time there and not likely to return .

We came for afternoon tea. We had a diabetic and a vegetarian in the group, both were catered for brilliantly. Quantities were just right and waiting staff very helpful

Small but lovely atmosphere. Afternoon tea was delicious, had lots to take home to enjoy later as well.

Easy to book, sat next to the window overlooking the park. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea and mooch around the gallery. Friendly staff deserve a mention. Always a treat to visit.

The dining room is a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, warm and inviting. I love the slight mismatch of tea cups. Spoons etc and general decor. We had the afternoon tea. They have a good selection of teas including fruit teas. I had blueberry. The food was delicious and they catered to my but allergy. My favourite items were the savoury scone, the Victoria sponge and the chocolate brownie! After the scone with clotted cream and jam I was stuffed and took the remaining couple of desserts home to enjoy later. I highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.

Sadly not quite as good as previous 3 visits. One of the cakes was rock hard and inedible, while another was dry and not enjoyable. Service also not as attentive as before. May have been down to a large group due to dine at 2pm (we arrived at 1pm). Previous visits would have scored 5/5, but unfortunately this one was pretty average.
