    Excellent service & food my partner and I are getting married there on 12.5.18, so we were anxious to try you out. Our party had a lovely night we really enjoyed being spoilt as we were celebrating our recent engagement.

    I found the front of house staff to be abrupt and not pleasant on greeting. May be she was having a bad day
    Serving staff were helpful and friendly. The Food was ok nothing special I was expecting full on flavour and found I needed to add salt not quite fine dining. the wine was nice but overpriced would not recommend but would not advise not going as I said it was ok but again not fine dining just ok

    My wife and I went here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to have the 7 course tasting mene - which was fantastic. Every plate was a masterpiece. The presentation, the skill and the passion for food was all world class. Service at the tables was impeccable and the whole experience could have been perfect. The only downside, and it was not Mallory's fault, was the table next to us was six business people who spoke too loudly, and got louder as the wine went in.

    A very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and a good time was had by the whole family.
    I was slightly disappointed that we had to pay for the table water (though not surprised) was a jug of water available or was it only bottled?

    Our dining experience was faultless. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants that did not serve better food. Portions were ideal. The menu was innovative and chef obviously has an excellent palate to match flavours. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. A good wine list.

    Unfortunately we did not have a good experience, following a lot of research I booked the restaurant for my Mom's 70th birthday as it was a Relais & Chateaux property, we travelled from Ireland, stayed in Stratford and had a driver bring four of us to dinner. There was no front of house to greet us, general wave of a hand from a junior staff member, pre-dinner drinks great in lovely seating area, order taken efficiently, although uniform of staff member could have done with a good dry clean. Table lovely, starters good quality, wine opening and pouring was a bit hit and miss. Two main courses came - pork belly, just about cooked, that's fine, then we waited and we waited and we waited for the two fish courses, no information from the waiting staff had to ask and eventually told there was a mix up, two fish courses then arrived. Both were cold in the middle, we very quietly informed the waiting staff after the meal, who told us that was because we ordered sauce on the side and there was a mix up, that was it no further comment. I'm not in the business of looking for free or discounted meals, but an apology from someone who looked like they were mildly interested in their job would have been appreciated. Desserts arrived and tea/coffee, some petit fours with happy birthday (much appreciated), then we asked for the bill, which we received, then we waited and we waited to pay. No one was now in the dining room (it was 10.30pm). I had to then search the corridors to try to pay. I wanted to use the sterling I had £200 and the remainder on the credit card. A gentleman took the cash from me, couldn't work the till and went to get someone - no one came - eventually I found a girl to take the remainder of the bill on my credit card, had to search for our coats before leaving. Overall a very disappointing service and evening that should have been a memorable occasion for my Mom's 70th birthday.
